Why are you calling me out? I’ve never voted for trump. And I didn’t vote for Biden either. You look foolish mentioning people who didn’t even vote for the person you are having an issue with.

I know I’m a bit obsessed with this but the whole thing is just crazy.
The Beta on the stock this AM was 6.38, so it’s 63 times more volatile than the average stock. It might be the highest Beta number I’ve ever seen.
I would almost have more respect for the “I love Trump” investors if they were treating it as a meme stock, but they legit believe this is just a blip and it’s gonna turn around, despite its already insane current valuation.
On one hand I feel sorry for the people who poured their life savings into this, on the other, anyone who doesn’t take the time to understand what they are investing in doesn’t deserve anything other than what market forces bring to them, good or bad. Stop following a con man, your life will be better for it.

On my drive to work, there used to be this crazy homeless guy that would stand on the sidewalk pretending he was shooting cars as they drove bye. Guy was a shopping cart assassin.

FWIW. You are probably “in people’s heads” the same way that guy was, not in whatever way you are thinking.

The only hope for DJT is it can hold out until November and Trump wins. Then, and only then, will Truth Social have any relevance. The question is, can the stock stay afloat until November? It's hemorrhaging money, and despite a tumbling stock price, they want to issue more shares? Tells me they are running short on cash, which also tells us that if something doesn't change soon, things are only going to get worse.

The company's current strategy brings this image back:

Down 10% now today, announced today the company is going try adding streaming services ... Not sure why that caused a sell off... I guess because it a crowded market and shows they have no new ideas...

There are two issues with the current business model. First is that they only have a limited number of users. Trump being prez might help that, but for comparison, they have around .001 percent of what Facebook has for instance. They are light years from a successful user base number.
The second problem, is that because of the speech that’s allowed there and how polarizing he is, almost no reputable company wants to advertise on the site. So even if they got the users somehow, if they can’t get ad revenue they will never make money.
Then add in the admitted mistakes with their accounting so the numbers can’t even be trusted, plus their complete willingness to bury their early stock adopters with an almost 1:1 dilution at a time they were already taking a beating, and there’s almost nothing that would justify long term investment.
    Barry Diller isn’t an idiot.

Nope, I own a 3 bedroom condo in that posters head. He's obsessed with me. It's kind of weird honestly.

Probably because most streaming services are still losing money.

I’m just shocked that putting Devin Nunes in as CEO didn’t work out. Clearly that guy was the perfect candidate to lead a totally legit tech startup. He was such a hot property in the tech space. I mean, they definitely had to outbid dancing with the stars to get him. Not many totally legit tech companies can say that.

I don’t think that announcement moved the needle much. Today a continuation of yesterday, everyone’s shares are gonna be halved. And that’s before the other downward pressure, and breaking through the $30 barrier, which was important fundamentally.
