I hope so. My daughter wants to go, and we're possibly planning on watching that match and then the baseball game later in the afternoon. If anyone has this info, please let us know.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The USA Volleyball Team announced its 20-player U-21 National Team roster, where two Gators will train June 14-22 in Anaheim, California. From there, 12 athletes out of the 20 will be selected to represent the United States at the 2024 Women's U21 NORCECA Continental Championship on June 23-July 1 in Toronto, Canada.

Kenendy Martin and Jaela Auguste were the two Gators selected to the 20-women roster.

Martin was a part of the 2023 Women's U21 Team training and was selected as one of the six alternates for the Pan American Cup in Mexico where the team took home gold. Auguste also has national team experience, as she was a member of the U19 Team that won the 2023 Pan American Cup in Puerto Rico.

Heather Olmstead, head coach of the BYU women's volleyball team, will be the Women's U21 head coach assisted by Jaylen Reyes (Nebraska) and Alex Dunphy (Stanford).

Georgia Tech is a really good and big team. They are very scrappy. (no pun intended)
We played them pretty much toe to toe.
KMart became sick this morning and was not there.
Growth can be seen in Taylor. She and Gabbi have a good rhythm, which resulted in several kills.
Alec and Isabel had really good days of kills and defense. I forgot to mention that Amaya was good at Middle Blocker.
AC had a decent day at the net and has improved her serving. Instead of hit-and-miss, she was hit, hit-and-miss.
The backcourt made a lot of good digs and passes. They were very scrappy, also.
Elli, Emily, Trinity, and Ella had good matches. Ella had some really good serves.
There were five sets played- 4 full sets and one to 15.
Georgia Tech won 3 full sets, and we won a full set and one to 15. All but one were very competitive.
Overall, I was pleased with the way we played and our fire.

In last week's exhibition against Miami, we won 3-1. According to people who were there, they won the first one closely, and then we took over.

We sat by Taylor's grandparents, and they were beside Taylor's parents. All are super nice.
We sat behind the grandparents at UCF and met the parents today.
When we got there, I leaned over and asked if they were a player's parents. When I saw the mother, I said, you are kin to Taylor Parks. They look almost just alike as does the grandmother.

When we discuss these exhibition matches, we have to remember who was not out there: KMart,
Stuckey, Hutson, Hoyle, Cornier, Auguste (mentioned above), and Bella Lee.
Mary will have good problems in the fall.
ETGator1 reminded me I had left Lauren Harden off the list. Oh Myyyy!

Don't forget Lauren Harden. She is likely the best of the incoming freshmen.

Are you seeing a sophomore jump from Madi Gravlee? How is she being used in spring?

Sorry, I did forget about her. Something was nagging back there, but I couldn't bring it forward.

Maddie had another surgery on her right shoulder and will not be cleared until the fall.

Man, all the talent on the sidelines and at home is crazy.

KMart was not present during the exhibition on Saturday. We were told she became sick that morning.
Today, I saw her at the corner of the sidewalk coming from the Heavener to Stadium Drive.
She was smiling and talking with someone.

Shoulder rehab is the pits…thought back was lousy. I’m rehabbing my right shoulder now after 20,000 swings coaching vb-in my 50’s. 72 now. Tennis will be the only fun sport left :/

Lauren is going to be a heckuva player for UF. Nobody in the nation recruited as well as UF in the 2024 class. For the 2024 season, the Gators are loaded. I can hardly wait for August to get here. If the chemistry comes together as quickly as last season, the sky is the limit.

Shoulder/elbow issues are not as bad as back issues, but keep you from playing well in the sports you love (for me, golf). There is always pickleball after tennis ;).

Off topic a bit, but in the realm of playing the sports you love as you age. We played a golf course where they provided caddies. They give you distances on every shot and told my friend to use your 230 club from the fairway. He immediately said I lost that club when I was 25 :).

Solving half of the "double contact" call that often seems inconsistent.

"The rules committee recommended allowing players to contact the ball more than once with any part of the body in a single attempt on a team’s second contact when the ball is played to a teammate."

Gators Add Two Florida Natives to 2024 Roster - Florida Gators

On February 26 two players were announced.
Erin Engle, a grad transfer from Maryland whose mother played VB here and whose father was a QB.
Bella Lee a freshman DS from Tampa. I spoke with at UCF and she will be here in June.
    Erin has disappeared.

    Does anyone know the story?
