No worries, I sometimes get confused about how statements can be add-ons or affirmations of someone else's post.. Lol, even though I do the same thing. I should have been less ambiguous about what I said.
What is the logic here? Hey, it's ok, other people don't put the safety on and shoot themselves in the foot too. Cool, how about we put the F'ing safety on instead of shooting ourselves in the foot?
No, the point is it happens EVERYWHERE, to teams that have designated ST coaches as well yet we seem to be the only fan base that can’t let it go, therefore ANY time there is an issue it becomes a “we need to fire our ST coach”. Aside from the freak double numbers play, it didn’t do anything to make us lose. Doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be something to try and fix, it just doesn’t need to be the focal point of complaints. We can’t even get through a fake game without people bitching about STs.
Or better yet……not a single person noticed it in the game and came to this message board and commented on it. Nobody knew there were only 10 people on the field. Some Ahole posts it on Twitter and then gets shared on here hours after the game and here comes the “ST’s is a problem” crowd. Bunch of parrots
This should be a point of emphasis after being a reoccurring issue. I don't care that it happens elsewhere and I didn't call for a coach to be fired. In fact, you will notice I didn't mention any coaches or players, or even complain, I questioned brushing it under the rug. It isn't even about the impact, it is an example of systemic issues of a problem not being corrected, that is what I find frustrating.
And people that think And people that think putting a title in front of a coaches name changes anything
When you lose, gaffs like 10 men on the field become bigger issues. Win and win often and it doesn’t matter. However, it wasn’t just 10 men on the field once or even twice last year at UF, it happened in 9 of 12 games. On top of that, we had two #3s on field that led to a penalty, and the continuation of a drive that instead of ending became a td. We had a player in the UK game try to leap over a blocker which gave UK a first down and next play and led to an 80 yard td that drive. Special teams rushed onto the field during a spike ball by Mertz vs Arkansas, which ended up a 5 yard penalty and impacted a game winning FG. Some UF fans weren’t mad because of 10 men on the field for one or two FG attempts that didn’t make a difference. They were mad because it was a constant run of mishaps like the keystone cops out there. I don’t think it’s unreasonable for fans to want and expect special teams issues - especially things as simple as counting to 11- to immediately improve and want to see it in the spring game when we hired an additional special teams expert to help run the special teams along with the guy who oversaw it last year. To me, spring game itself is meaningless.
He's definitely a troll pretending to be a Gator fan. And his excuse for being a douche is calling everyone a "Disney" Gator. I suspect he's a Disney UCF fan in real life.
You are probably right about UCF stuff. I don't like Caw's negativity towards CBN. There's another guy here at GC who posts there too regularly. Big D or something. But I don't mind him as much as the CAW.
He's more of a baseball fan than a Gators football fan, IMHO. But yeah, he IS negative about The Gators' football program in general.
That guy represents a pretty sizeable chunk of the type of posters actively and incessantly bashing all aspects of Gator sports on the other forum. That forum gets more traffic than this one I believe and is in large part responsible for the type of negativity associated with our fans. That page and various Facebook groups of course. There are a handful at his level of negativity followed by a very large group of slightly less obnoxious ones and then the small contingent of hopeful fans.
