    But seriously man.
Why would anyone vote for a party that aims to financially weaken American families…it’s beyond me.
And then you guys will say, oh well it doesn’t affect me and it’s fair. Well, take that philosophy a couple steps into the future and eventually it does reach into my pocket or the inheritance of my family.
There is no justification for voting for money wasting liberals.
It makes me very angry thinking about it.

I believe many people fail to understand that increasing federal income taxes on corporations is taking $$$ away from shareholders who are individuals, not all of whom are ultra-wealthy. It’s all about the redistribution of wealth.

This one I don't get. If they tax you on unrealized gains for something you didn't sell, can they only do that once? And then in the future if you do sell it you don't have to pay anything? If they continue to tax you every year for it, then the amount of taxes you will have paid on it will FAR exceed the actual gain when you did sell it. Doesn't make sense.

And to take it a step further, what if in the future the asset drops, can I take an "unrealized loss". Seems like you should.

As opposed to voting red whose entire purpose is to empty the federal treasury and pass it on to the world's 1% of incomes.

I hope you and all others like you aren't counting on SS or Medicare in your retirement because the first thing that will happen when the GOP gets to control everything again is that they will both be gone.

    That’s fine.
You go on voting for anti-business, anti-traditional family values, pro-transgender, pro mental illnesses and pro-senile leadership….you do you.

    You should respect the 1%.
They are the real engine behind Americas greatness.
Instead you support the black hole that is the American government.
    Sad and embarrassing.

Who told you it’s supposed to be fair?
Why do you you look to the government to make you feel better about others?
    Look within yourself for happiness.
Stop trying to take from others.
The job providers take on immense risk. Try to see things from a new perspective.

If you were in 2017 and concerned about people in 2024 who cant make ends meet how does that chart help?

And I am to the right of that chart pal so you can pound salt on taking things from others. Capitalism has been good to me. So why did I need a tax break of that magnitude vs the people on the left of that chart?

    O&B Response menu:
    1. Rate and run
    2. Post insult using libbies
    3. Claim I should voluntarily pay more than my peers because I have a POV on the tax structure
    4. It never gets passed #3 so why are you still reading this list?

I thought it was small businesses and main street that were the real engine behind America's greatness?

If you are a 1% kind of guy good for you….by all means give the govt as much money as you want.
You’re not worried about the govt taxing your wealth or your family’s inheritance….again good for you. I’m very concerned about these things.
What is most worrying to me is who you seem to trust….the government. The govt has proven for decades to be the biggest waster of our money and somehow you want to give them your tax dollars ? Very strange to me.
And that’s putting it very nicely.

Seems a valid point, and I appreciate your sticking with actual issues rather than the generic insults that others rely on

From whom to whom? Or is it who to who?

Another thing should be noted: The OP implies that the tax hikes are coming for everyone. According to the White House, no one who makes under $400,000 would see a hike. And the unrealized gains tax would only apply to those whose net wealth is $100 million or more.

The 1% are examples of system error in the American experiment. Most of our billionaires are jerks who want to move us to fascism and a pre-industrial revolutionary state e.g. Elon Musk.

The engine behind American greatness is working people not wannabe oligarchs.

Of course we all remember in 2017 when the corporations were gifted a 25% tax reduction.... how prices were marked down and passed on to consumers......? Or perhaps consider the graph in post #28.

Then they are classified as "elites," which allows him to try to take from them to give to farmers or some other group with which he identifies. Framing doesn't have to make sense, it just helps him decide who are the good and bad guys.
