If you ever showed balance rather than rank partisanship, I'd take your posts seriously. As it is, you're just a one trick pony. (Yes, there are some liberals here who are the same way.)

What are you smoking!?! Russia was going to invade no matter who was in office. With Trump in office, he would have basically invited Russia to invade and would have done NOTHING in response.

Trump would have gone full Neville Chamberlain, refusing to provide any aid to Ukraine and forcing the country into a one-sided peace agreement with Russia tantamount to surrender sewing the seeds for its ultimate demise and then claiming that he was responsible for "peace in our time" not unlike Chamberlain. The difference is that Neville Chamberlain genuinely thought that Hitler with stop after German occupation of the Sudetenland. Putin has made it very clear that he wants to reincorporate Ukraine into Russia and as was under the Czarist Russian Empire and the Soviet Union and that he would not stop there.

And Putin wouldn't have stopped there. Nor would Trump in his efforts to exit NATO. Those two would upset the entire European balance of power. It astonishes me that Okeechobee doesn't understand that. Of course, there's always the possibility he does and sympathizes with Putin and dictators in general.

Typical TDS rant by several on here. Funny, he was impeached 2X for what he did ….and was not found guilty. Now, folks on here are somehow able to know exactly what Trump would have done or not done. With such prescience I’m sure those folks have billions in bitcoin and therefore able to post nonstop.

    LOL, "found guilty."

He was not voted guilty by a complicit and shameless Republican Senate, that wouldn't even allow witnesses in at least one of the impeachment hearings.

He was guilty as sin each time though. As guilty as OJ.

You just keep shilling for a criminal though- that's your prerogative. But don't try to gaslight anyone here; this isn't some toothless Trump rally, and we all know that criminal would sell out the people of Ukraine for a cut-rate hotel in Moscow.

The “impeached twice but voted not guilty” thing is a helluva defense.

Trump was impeached for holding up Ukraine aid, like… there’s no denying that phone call happened, right?. The Republicans who voted “not guilty” preferred to look the other way. Their prerogative. Now some of those same Republicans are blocking Ukraine aide and repeating talking points. But… it’s Joe Biden’s fault (or something).

Based on what? What event triggered the inevitable invasion which coincidentally did not occur during Trump's term in office?

Biden winning prompted Putin to invade. Trump had stated he wanted to pull the US out of NATO. Had this happened, Putin could have waltzed to Kiev with little to no resistance. But Trump didn't get the opportunity to weaken NATO, because he lost.

NATO countries are why Russia hasn't won the war. Putin wanted Trump to win to weaken NATO.

Honestly, it's a pretty good standard, as a POTUS should never be impeached unless it's a slam dunk conviction. That it happened twice and failed both times takes us into banana republic territory. Impeachment was never intended to be a way to score cheap points with a voter base.

He was found not guilty twice by a Republican Senate that cast a party line vote twice with the one exception being Mitt Romney the second time. The difference between 1974 and 2020 and 2021 is that back then members of the Congress actually had the balls to evaluate evidence and act independently giving Nixon the alternative of resignation or conviction in the Senate. Today thanks in no small part to the pro-Trump media Republicans in Congress have become too intimidated alienate their Dear Leader.

Interesting - I thought it was Republicans who hated Democracy. Democrats are all butt hurt about voting.

At least Democrats aren't so butt hurt that they attempted to prevent the lawful transfer of power following a free and fair election that their preferred candidate lost. Not saying that a majority of Republicans supported the failed coup attempt but a majority were conned into believing the rationale behind it.

5th grade playground understanding of the world. Act like a tough guy and everyone will tremble. It doesn't work that way in international politics.

Hey, the three years I spent in 5th grade were some of the best days of my life. I learned to study more better. ;)

I've noticed when people have no lucid response they attack and belittle. You have fulfilled that purpose. Thanks!

This is perhaps the first time I've agreed with you.

They are nominating for POTUS a guy who engaged in a conspiracy to overturn a presidential election, which included; coercing state officials, creating fake slates of electors, coercing his VP, repeatedly and publicly lying to the American people, encouraging a violent protest/attack on our Capitol which left over 100 police injured.

It's so strange to see an informed, grown man like you that is so concerned about these other issues........not care a bit about any of that.

It's like how we see so many Republicans/conservatives who are very well informed......but they are content to let the campaign of lying and gaslighting try to misinform public opinion on this issue.

Strange times we are in, indeed.
