The situation on the eastern front has escalated in recent days. Russian troops have stepped up their assaults and are using equipment for attacks, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyy, has said in his Telegram channel, RBC-Ukraine has reported.

The AFU commander-in-chief noted that the offensive actions of Russian troops have intensified after the presidential elections in Russia.


"The enemy is actively attacking our positions in the Liman, Bakhmut directions by assault groups supported by armored vehicles. In the Pokrovsky direction is trying to break through our defense using dozens of tanks and BMPs," Syrsky said.
