Yeah, have no idea what De la tore is complaining about. He was bad mothing George all camp and George looked good yesterday. And if he thinks the OTs haven't improved he has no business talking football.
I thought that too, but it appears he's bought in to getting in better shape. He looked smaller yestarday than he did the first day of spring practice. There's an article out there from last week talking about Jackson and Watson losing weight. Jackson is quoted in it. He said CBN wants him at 340lbs, but he's aiming for 330/335lbs.
Just imagine where we’d have been the last two years without him. He literally put this team on his back and single-handedly won roughly zero games for UF.
I assume you're referring to Mizell. He was a very good KR in high school, not just quick but probably the best top gear on the team.
I agree! In a Spring Game you do not want the team to go full throttle. Doing that can result in some nasty and costly injuries that will require attention and rehab. Let the boys rest up for the coming season, keep their heads into the game, continue their conditioning workouts, and hit the school books/classes.
Nope, a new player. Lots of quick twitch. Don't recall his name or number. Perhaps someone else can help.
RB room is pretty sick, for sure. Tackling is massively improved. (They are actually tackling!) Defense and secondary is great. DJ will be a beast. Mertz is great. It appears we'll have some kids breaking out big-time. Yeah, back-up kicker can only improve. He missed everything!!! 5 Months to get better! Go Gators.
That was the one player that I knew would be good from day one. He will be a beast for the Gators for years to come. Well... if our NIL learns how to keep stars on our team. Everyone wanted that kid and for good reason too. I'm so happy he's a Gator. The last player we got out of high school that I felt that good about was Eugene Wilson III... Tre Wilson.
From Scott Carter's Quick Slant recap: "The game's two interceptions...was one less than the entire Florida defense combined to pick off in all of the 2023 season."
I don't know what De La Torre said about the O&B game. I know before the spring game he said George isn't the answer at RG and the Gators' need a RG from the portal. Well, RG was probably the strongest OL position in the spring game, for what's that worth. Does he still have a problem with George and Lovett at RG?
Big Dez needs to lose weight to realize his true potential, but he is still very valuable to this defense and I hope he goes nowhere. On short yarded situations, there may not be anyone better in the country. We have a lot of talent and depth in the secondary and they look legit. When they settle on the starting 5, they are going to be nasty. This will be our best secondary we have had in a long time.
Last year's team facing this year's schedule would likely lose 9. This team could win 9. It would be remarkable but it's possible. At the very least the roster is now looking a lot more like it should and the coaching staff appears to be past the whitewater. Canes are Gator Bait!
