A first year guy for a World Series winning team usually languishes in the minors while the MLB team is looking for a favorable trade to shore up their team for the stretch run. The fact that he is with the parent club from the get go and in the starting line-up tells you how much faith they have in him.

Some rumblings about Alonso being traded to my Os. Not sure Im a fan of this. Would be a DH only, as Mountcastle is one of better def. 1b there is..former SS. And will hit 30-50 points higher probably.

Pete only hit .217 last year, and his HR total wouldnt be anywhere close to his average w/ the 400 ft. LF wall in Blt. So less value than anywhere else.

But mainly I dont want to give up prospects, despite having overflow of them, for a 1 year rental. No way they sign him long term for what his market value will be.

Also clogs up the DH spot,,so when Adley need day off from catching, who are you sitting Adley or Pete? easy answer imo. If Pete was a LHB a totaly different conversation.

Alex Faedo with Toledo Mud Hens. Klinger would be proud.

Josh Rivera made the Tennessee Smokies AA club here close to Knoxville. My son and I are going to get to a game tonight or tomorrow ...wearing Gator Gear!

EDIT: Sunday afternoon! Need to see him before he moves up!

Fire the bum! He insults the integrity of the game itself. He’s the worse laughing stock going (outside of politics).

It is insane that guy still has a job. He’s been a hack for as long as I can remember.

Yep—if there were any justice left in this ol’world he should have to sit and watch his game videos, get them graded, and then whatever he scores that should be the percentage of his pay he receives. I mean fair is fair.

Yep, long been one of the worst , if not the worst umps in baseball at calling balls and strikes. Guess there is no quality control in MLB.

But folks here would prob be 50/50 in unions. “Oh, love ‘em. Screw the suits” or “Bums bragging down business”.
In Hernandez case you have no one to thank except the umpire union. Period.

Scott is on the mound and pitching great. Bader is in center and Alonzo of course.
Scott’s whole family is there, fun to see.
