Clayton is not going to get drafted in this coming draft unless he proves to NBA teams that he can play defense and handle the ball a lot better than he has done so far.
The guard we get first will be the first top-flight guard that commits, regardless of being a 1 or a 2. Point guard was huge for us this past season, and the dropoff whenever Zyon Pullin left the floor was dramatic. So CTG is going to make sure the point is better than merely adequate.
I agree ZP was easily the most important player on the team. I am letting you all know don’t expect that kind of pg in this transfer class as of right now. If we end up with one it will be a back up guy most likely. I think we will end up with combo guards as opposed to a player like ZP who was our true pg last season and dominated the ball.
it is not just about getting drafted. There is a small possibility someone would promise him a 2 way as an un-drafted guy. I don’t think so as of now and I think he will be back. But it’s not 100%.
I hear ya, I have similar concerns. As for NIL we just have budgets for certain positions. Clayton and the guy I think we will add will take a good chunk of guard money. Nothing is 100% right now just the way I think it will go down. I think we for sure will add a defensive true 5, and I know we would take a bigger 3 if we could get one. I don’t know that this class will have the bang that last years class had but I think what we currently have is better. Clayton, Condon Haugh, Richard, Aberdeen are a nice core. (Only didn’t include Handy cause of injury for next year) Mix in some good talent and get improvement and you can see we have a nice squad. There is always the possibility of securing a stand out transfer, just don’t think as of right now that is likely. A bunch of solid players with a couple being more raw with upside is what I expect right now.

That CB has been there since he announced his visits. Probably reading the tea leafs with Indiana being his first visit, and transfers often line up their favored school first. If he commits during the visit, then obviously he's going there. If he still takes visits elsewhere then its anyone's game
