They have stood out.

Heck of a drive by DJ and the Orange, to close the first half. 17 - 13 Orange.

 

But with his film and abilities you might think he had offers from other big schools. Good pull.

 

They are playing against the Gator defense.

How is OL doing re protection?

 

DJ seems more successful throwing on the move.

Mertz hasn't had great time but threw one gorgeous strike.

 

Not sure what classification his HS is and the level of competition as that may have something to do with it. FWIW, he did receive offers from Bama and UGA.

 

Defense looked decent early.

 

Im in the stands….Baugh has quick lateral movement (better than Johnson IMO) .and then a good good burst!

 

Looks better, but hard to tell in these games as many plays are whistled dead because you can’t touch the QBs.

 

Mertz to Kahliel 50-yard pass

 

He is a running back that will contribute this year. Love him in the passing game as he has the ability to take it to the house.

 

Yes. His vision stands out right away. Very impressive

 

Spring games are only that. BUT, this feels like a tremendous improvement over last year. Chunk plays and talent visible. There is some balance between offense and defense in that neither seems overwhelmed.
