TANF, the current "welfare" program has a five year lifetime limit and requires people to find work within three years. Yes, I think DeSantis was the best choice over trump because trump is a disaster and he never had my vote. I still didn't vote for Desantis in 22 because of his authoritarian move to the right. I also happen to think he would be a better president(hate his abortion stance) then either of the two idiots we have now. He isn't a perfect candidate and I said at the time I don't even know if I would vote for him in 24 unless he changed his stance on some positions. I'm not hyper partisan, unless it's possible to be hyper down the middle. I want extremely tight gun laws, I want assault type weapons banned, I want a 20-24 week abortion rule like it used to be(neither side is happy is a good compromise), I support gay marriage(just don't make churches have to host ceremony's), I don't care what you do when you turn 18(drugs, change sexes, bang hookers), just don't make me foot the bill for it, I am for paying teachers like we pay college professors, I am for legalizing weed and making money off the taxes and am in favor of lowering our defense budget(along with pretty much every other budget item to save money). It's quite comical to see you trying to defend your hyper partisanship because you are backing someone who is senile. Well that's a you problem. My right leaning positions are wanting a secure border(not sure why that's a righty position), i want kids to not be taught about sex until 7th-8th grade, I don't think we should be forgiving student loan debt UNLESS you have worked a minimum of 10 years in a public sector like being a teacher and I think we shouldn't let kids take any drugs for transitioning sexes until they turn 18. As many as 16 former Trump officials aren't supporting his candidacy in 2024. Some were very high level in his admin. That's unprecedented. But so is Trump's level of incompetent leadership.
