Very interesting there's no one listed for the start on Saturday. Could it mean there is any truth to the #18 rumor? Got to make a conspiracy theorist wonder. Don't say I told you so, but if so, you can say you heard it here first. If not then I'm playing golf somewhere with Egbunu.

For the record I have no idea who is starting Saturday. But the tea leaves suggest.....

I just got back from a trip to see the total eclipse near Bloomington, Indiana via Chicago. I will be serving up authentic Chicago hot dogs tomorrow before going to the game. The one thing that I don't have is poppy seed hot dog buns but I will brush some melted butter on the buns that I have and apply some poppy seeds. I have celery salt and correct "neon" pickle relish. Of course I brought back Vienna Beef hot dogs.

Time to turn this season around.

I don’t either but I would expect some midweek action after a two year period before I see him straight into SEC weekend action.

Agreed. Talking about throwing someone to the wolves. I like a start against a North FL or FAMU vs anyone in SEC (even Missouri......).

    Is it Coppola time?

I was there against liberty which seems like a couple of moons ago and the kid was pretty filthy

Maybe he’ll be used as an opener rather than a true starter?

I miss Vienna Beef dogs. Have had Chicago dogs both at Wrigley and from street vendors. They are something special.
At one time my goal in retirement was to be an Old Style vendor at Wrigley. I even have the call down: "Heyyyyyyy . . . Old Style!"

Never had Vienna Beef dogs but sounds good.
Let's hope Brandon gets off to a better start than Rhino did. Let's get this train turned around. Heyyyyy.....Gators!

Ok, here’s the deal pitchers—hit your spots, especially in pitcher’s counts and any inning with two outs……the plate don’t move….so hit your dang spots.

Hitters, here’s your goal—hit the ball where it’s pitched—all game long!

Defense, every position expect the ball to be hit to you every pitch and know what you’re going to do with it.

Oh yeah, play your arses off and have fun doing it!!!

One of my favorite baseball quotes:

Catching a fly ball is a pleasure but knowing what to do with it after you catch it is a business.

I am a former Southsider so Wrigley was enemy territory. I have never been there. I loved the old Comiskey park. My dad knew Andy the Clown and I got to meet him at a game. Got to sit in the left field general admission and talked with the GM Roland Hemond one Sunday for a couple of innings. Saw Dick Allen almost hit the centerfield scoreboard. Nobody else ever came that close. Very few ever hit one into the centerfield seats. Saw Don Mincher hit one out of the park and very few ever did that.

Cardozo dropping hints on the radio about the Saturday starter. Let me just say, it's getting interesting.

Did Cardozo clear that with @Gatorgal04 before he infringed on “her word”?

Egbunu, I mean Coppola is throwing on the field with the other pitchers in pregame.
The first time I've seen him throw in over 2 years I think.
