Okay, so this is the thread where people outright admit that they hate transgender people, not the one where they claim that their concerns are about sports fairness in sports they wouldn't be caught dead watching.

 

Are trends of acceptance for the transgenders encouraging undesirable behaviors or curbing them?
This is not debatable for me.

 

Furthermore, there is an agenda behind politicized stories like this that is as insidious as it is (or should be) obvious.

By linking stories like this to transgender people, they create or strengthen a link between transgenders and sexual deviants. No different than the stories about the occasional horrendous crime committed by an illegal immigrant that connect that population with violent crime.

 

I do not hate transgenders. They are confused people.
I do not care for the libbies who encourage their indecent behavior and put innocents at risk in the name of progressive craziness.

 

Should transgenders face less acceptance in their lives because criminals and deviants want to do criminal and deviant things? That is not debatable for me.

 

You don't hate them, but this post sure reveals that you seem okay with judging them.

 

Yeah, you seem to hate transgendered people. You refer to them simply existing as "indecent behavior."

 

There should be no doubt that a man in any form on every day of the week shouldn’t be allowed near a woman’s dressing room.

Kind of like during the Target “bathroom controversy”, almost all the incidents were actually enraged freak-show conservatives trying to “prove a point” about the policy. They did that to varying degrees. Was there ever an actual transgendered person that caused an issue? The issue i saw it was the political hacks started blaming everything on the policy. Guy sets up a secret recording device in the ladies room? Blame it on transgendered policy! It was really quite mental.

This Planet Fitness guy sounds like he got some ideas from somewhere alright. But you’d need to know a bit more about him to know if he had “motive” or if he was just a perv.

 

I assess and evaluate everything and everyone, yes. I try very hard not to judge people for who they are, but instead for what they do and how they treat others.

You casually admit that you deem transgender people to be inferior, and as such, you are comfortable with them facing discrimination because treating them equal as human beings might - might - encourage a sexual predator... Are these your Southern values or your Christian values on display?

 

I have expressed my family values. I have children. I have worked in the public schools. I know there are unique people everywhere…and I am cautious.
Transgender people are often not well; often times mentally ill. If you lump them all into one big healthy happy group, good for you.
I am not so easily convinced.

 

I think it's more complicated than being for or against. Historically, I think people have genuinely felt this way and have been forced to repress those feelings. Now, I think the pendulum may have swung too far in the other direction where people are almost being encouraged or even pushed to feel that way. Regardless, the truth lies somewhere in the middle that there are people who are transgender.

Starting from that point, for me, I don't think there's a perfect solution to the bathroom issue. There are transgender people who were born male that can pass very convincingly as a female, and vice versa. If those people are forced to use the bathroom of their gender assigned at birth, I think that's even more likely to cause issues, concern, angst etc. with other people using that same restroom.

What I don't think we should do is decide policy based on a few POS type people who use this as a pretense to make a point by purposefully entering the wrong bathroom. Neither the law or policy allow that guy to go into the women's restroom and do what he did. I also don't for a second believe that allowing people to use the bathroom with which they identify will result in children in sexually assaulted. If someone was going to hide in a bathroom to sexually assault children, they were going to do it anyway regardless of that establishment's bathroom policy.

 

Also, extending rights to transgenders in bathroom/locker situations is not so that bearded, dick-swaying bros can declare themselves women and waltz into the ladies room.

It's to allow actual transgender people to use their identified bathroom/etc (in 99% of cases with no one ever even knowing) and not face legal prosecution (as opposed to persecution, as you so clearly demonstrate will be their cross to bear no matter the laws).

 

But, what you assert is not what the radical transgendered have sought. They believe a biological male that feels like a woman must have access to the facilities reserved for biological females. What is wrong with that guy that feels like a female using the men’s facilities?

 

I try to ignore most "radical" advocates on any position, as they typically deal in myopic extremes that are neither reasonable nor focused on maximizing societal benefit.

 

But they won't, or if they do, they won't succeed. There must never be any turn of events in these woke dramas that makes sense in the mind of a rational person.

Maybe if Planet Fitness wasn't being nuts by saying use the bathroom you feel comfortable using this wouldn't have happened. You think a bunch of women 20 years ago in a Planet Fitness let this happen? I love the rationalizing of Planet Fitness's ridiculous policy. You can't make this shit up.
