Five month until we start to see if Napier can lead a team and staff. I see us winning 7 regular season games. That's not great, but better. Where it does from there, who knows. 7 isn't expecting excellence, just competitiveness. 8 or 9 shouldn't be wishful thinking by now. Hopefully they manage games better and appear to be winners.

 

7 wins would be great actually. That likely means the sophomore's took a big step forward, and we'd be heading into the offseason with some bonafide ALL SEC players for 2025. I'll take 7 wins all day.

 

7 -8 is what I also expect or hope for. We were (2) 4th downs from being a 7 win team, and a duplicate jersey # from 8 wins. I believe those areas of concern have been addressed. With better coaching, I think we’ll be better, only the path is just more daunting.

 

tbh i need more than 7. Year 3 with a 6th year QB should be a 8-9 win team imo. Our schedule is tough by name but we can be in every game this year outside of the UGA game imo

 

I agree even though it sounds ridiculous. This isn’t the ACC where you get tested two or three times a year. Kentucky beats teams in this league. ole miss is buying up talent and wants to win.

i think you’re overreaching a bit and that we have three sure losses more than likely. All other games save a couple that we should win with be a dogfight at best. If we win half of those, we are looking at 6-8 wins. The biggest factor to me is , we don’t know how good these teams are actually going to be. Take Miami for instance, they may win the ACC or lose their normal 4-6 games with a weak schedule. There’s really no way to know just how tough this schedule really is. Is Ole Miss a top 3 team or do they get crushed again just like Georgia did to them last year. If they are too 3, chalk up another loss. If they are clearly not as good as Georgia, maybe we beat them in the Swamp. I’m not so focused on 6-8 wins but are we a considerably better team looking to improve in 25 with Lagway.

 

Don’t care who we play should be in every game period. With momentum and wins we can hang with UGA . GO DAMN GATORS!! I am going to call it now 9 wins

I hate them too but both teams are hoping to be much improved next year and who knows maybe both teams will be much improved. I hope they suck and we crushed them by four touchdowns.

 

Portal and NIL is bringing parity in the SEC. We may not see it this year but it is full steam coming. It will no longer be a birthright for all the programs with Nats to get 10 wins a season. 8 will be hard. 10 will be amazing. From here on out I am looking for competitiveness and overachiever in some games. Everybody can have a veteran QB.

 

Yep no doubt having Mertz as a veteran quarterback is definitely advantage, but only over the few teams that don’t have one which is very few

 

When is the first guy going to say they met my payroll demands so I’m staying where I’m at.

 

I have players tell me that all the time, I just can't tell you who they are. I've also had players tell me they're leaving because their demands were not met. Unfortunately, I can't tell you who they are either. Just know, I know.

 

Exactly my point. That is not much of an advantage on our schedule and probably from here on out.

Sadly, I think 7 would be an overachievement considering all factors. I really hope I'm wrong...but I think we'll be underdogs the last 5 games, and maybe the last 7.
