Hopefully Sully made a hard reset yesterday. It’s going to take one to right the ship. I hope that I never have to see the look of being intimidated in our dugout again…… Shake yourselves Gators and answer the bell—it’s time to step up! Go Gators, let’em know who you are!
10 years ago yesterday, #25 Florida (20-12) beat #1 Florida State (26-5) 8-0 in Tallahassee with Danny Young getting the win.
Slater gets the start tonight. Our pitching staff as a whole has got to figure out how to smell the blood in the water and pitch like it. By that what I mean is methodically hitting your spots when in pitcher’s counts. We give up way too many hits with two strikes against opposing hitters. The exact same thing is true with two outs in any inning of any game. We have got to be better than this…….get it done Gators! By the same token our hitters have to stay intense and fight the entire AB—not just one pitch. Hit the ball where it’s pitched!…..get it done Gators! And for God’s sake defense—everyone of you expect the ball to come your way every single pitch!
Our pitching was mostly fine this weekend. 2nd game Mizzou scored 4 runs on 4 hits. It has been our defense and getting the big hit
Hate to judge a whole game just on 3 outs, but tonight we better score runs early in the first inning or two so this thing doesn't get out of hand quick. A little confidence can go a long way for hitters and pitchers.

I'm a little dizzy from the fall from 6th to 24th. Lived in Tallahassee for 23 years (state worker). The town is good. It's the 90% Noles fans that makes it hard to live there. Batters...be patience and quit trying to jack it out of the park. Infield defense...get in front of the ball. Pitchers...throw to the spot you're told to throw. Anything folks?
I think playing on a rug in Missouri affected them in a negative way. Infield has been pretty solid most of the year.
Noles Lineup SP—John Abraham RHP Earl Abraham—NEVER heard of him….but he’s had the two other starts against us this season. In the words of @Gatorgal04–“What a Shmuck”…
That field was awful!!! The mound had extra turf in the pitching lane as well--not sure how you could get decent footing!
It’s a real talent to build a proper pitcher’s mound. You’ve got to have the right soils. Trust me and if ya don’t then ask @wingtee. I’m sure he’s built a few himself too.
