All he needs is a faster motor to be dominant. If he could run up and down the court a little bit quicker, I think he'd be starting material for most teams, despite lack of a refined offensive game.
Teams will mercilessly put him in ball screens and abuse his relative lack of lateral quickness. I don't see the kid playing much, sadly. Unless he becomes Edey version 2.0 on offense...
He will have to make a helluva transition to become a solid college player. However, size does matter.
UF commit Olivier Rioux is only gonna get BETTER and BETTER! https://youtube.com/shorts/qlDDcVTeT8E?si=P_hgsLPFz-_9RvE-
Yeah, there is a distinct difference between morning and afternoon heights. Just look at Bol's pictures from the morning and the evening.
He's a pretty good shot blocker/rebounder. That gives us a great practice player for our bigs if nothing else. You can't simulate that type of player with a broom.
I was ready to give you a hell to the nah, but looking at their tape it's not as crazy as I thought. I still think Edey has much better body control at this time, but they are years apart in development. Rioux needs to learn how to open up his stride to increase his speed. He takes little baby half strides instead of 3/4 or full. Not sure if that is a muscular strength limitation, flexibility, or just awkwardness of growing into his body.
I like Glover. I wish him well, and wouldn't be mad if he came back to UF... as unlikely as it seems.
