Ann Arbor & Fayetteville Tickets Punched to Nationals - Seeds:

    1. Oklahoma 198.400
    2. LSU 198.250
    12. Arkansas 197.825
    8. Alabama 197.575

This is the same piggie team that came to UF about a month ago and looked bad scoring in the very low 196s. The piggies must have had a shot of adrenaline from the home crowd.

The upset of the day is #7 Kentucky being upset by #12 Arkansas. Karma is a bitch for a second day in the SEC. First, UGALY with their non-SEC Freshman of the Year is sent home crying after finishing .1 behind Mizzou. Now, non-Co-SEC Coach of the Year Tim Garrison's mildcats are sent home by a lesser piggie team. The talent is superior at UK over Ark, but Tim Garrison didn't get the job done in regionals when it counted.

The Berkeley & Gainesville tickets for nationals will be punched on Sunday. The Gainesville Regional has shaped up to be a slugfest and the Berkeley Regional will be a cat fight for the slot with Cal.

The Gators will need to be at their best to advance to nationals.

Friday night competition order was determined by a blind draw. I presume the regional final will be a blind draw as well. This from floridagators.com:

Gators Bounce Back, Advance to NCAA Gainesville Regional Finals - Florida Gators

A blind draw determined the competition order for today's regional competition. The Gators opened with five consecutive vault marks of 9.9 or better. Senior Victoria Nguyen shared the event win at 9.95 while freshman Skylar Draser started the lineup off with a 9.925. The Gators got 9.9s from Anya Pilgrim and Danie Ferris plus junior Leanne Wong.

Good on CJR for starting UF off on beam at the SECs. The Gators are now prepared for any competition order.

The other highest seeds in each region started on beam yesterday. I expect UF to start there also. Blind draws are so dumb. They eliminate any reward for being the higher seed. We should know right off the bat if we will qualify.

Utah & Michigan State both had to count a low score on the bars. Gators are in very good position right now.

Very solid 49.575 on the Vault. Anya Pilgrim's 9.875 gets dropped - that's pretty darn good!!

Missouri currently edging Utah for 2nd place. That would be a major upset if it holds.

After three rotations, we haven't counted a score below 9.9. That's great!

Utah is getting some very good scores on their floor rotation. It will be tight for second after the third rotation.

As long as we don't have 2 of our girls fall off the bars we should be good for the win. Good sized lead going to the final event.

Every score that has counted for the Gators today has been 9.900 or better. That's consistency!! Hope it holds through the bars, which has been our weakest event this year.
