Can’t tell if she’s just massively incompetent or corrupt, but either way I think her fitness for her office can reasonably be called into question now even if not before.

It would seem that way. However, The article mentions that this is tricky because recusals usually require evidence of flawed decisions, and Cannon has failed to make most decisions leaving them sitting on her desk for weeks.

The financial statement that was missing was the bonding company's. They have 2 major problems.

    1. The bonding company isn't licensed in NY which is required.
    2. The bond represents a third of the company's net worth when the max allowed is 10%.

The bonding company is backed by a much larger, richer corporation but no one from it signed off on taking responsibility for the bond.

Yeah thanks when the guy said it was “fully secured by cash”. I thought he meant Trump had pled that but he meant they had the capital for it.

This is still up in the air No?

And nobody knows whose put the cash in the brokerage account to secure the bond

    https://www.reuters.com/legal/busin...-bond-says-he-charged-him-low-fee-2024-04-05/
On Thursday, James' office questioned the $175 million bond, asking that Knight provide proof that it has enough assets to pay if Trump's appeal fails. A New York judge will hold a hearing on the matter on April 22.
Hankey, whose net worth is pegged by Forbes at $7.4 billion, said he was taken aback by James' questioning the bond. "I'm surprised they're coming down harder on our bond or looking for reasons to cause issues with our instrument," he said.

Hankey, who runs a group of businesses including a provider of subprime automotive loans that has been reprimanded by regulators for predatory behaviour involving customers, said Trump offered collateral for the $175 million in cash.
He said the cash is held at a brokerage firm and pledged to Knight, and that Knight can access it if needed.
"I don't know if it came from Donald Trump or from Donald Trump and supporters," Hankey said of the cash Trump provided for collateral.

Story is still as clear as mud. Is knight undercapitalized for the bond or did trump (er his billionaire pals) front cash to be held as collateral?

Someone fronted cash to the bond company. Nobody knows who provided the cash.

Federal judge accuses the DOJ of hypocrisy for ‘flouting’ Biden impeachment inquiry subpoenas

    Biden appointed judge.

A federal judge scolded the Justice Department on Friday for refusing to allow attorneys involved in the Hunter Biden investigation to comply with subpoenas issued by House Republicans.

District Judge Ana Reyes, an appointee of President Biden, argued that the Justice Department was being hypocritical for instructing Daly and Morgan not to comply with the committee’s subpoenas while throwing others in prison for similar actions.

There is a fundamental problem when you constantly go to trash sources for your information. I get it that people like you are likely to go such websites because they write what you want to read, but at some point the light bulb should come on for you that you're not getting the complete story. As the judge correctly noted, those two lawyers have valid privileges to assert to refuse to answer the Comer Pyle Show's questions. Typically when counsel for a witness communicates to the subpoenaing party that the witness intends to assert a valid privilege, that's the end of it rather than having the witness come in, assert privilege and refuse to answer questions...a colossal waste of everyone's time. Comer Pyle obviously didn't like his manhood being challenged yet again, so suit was filed.

“I think the reason we’re all here is because you’re annoyed, probably appropriately so, that they want to depose two line attorneys,” Reyes said. “And that the reason we’re all here is because you all don’t think your line attorney should be subject to deposition.”

"She noted that if deposed, Daly and Morgan would likely have valid privilege objections to much of the committee’s questions. That’s not intrusion if they’re not going to say anything,” Reyes said. “They’re just going to object to everything. What’s the intrusion? It’s a day of their time. OK, you’re taking up a bunch of my time.”

"Reyes also directed ire at a lawyer representing the House Judiciary Committee, saying the GOP-led panel had wasted taxpayer money by filing last month's lawsuit.

“I don’t think the taxpayers want to fund a grudge match between the executive and the legislative about when someone has to show up or not show up to a subpoena, when at the end of the day none of this is gonna get decided anytime soon,” she said. “I’m confident that you’re not keeping the impeachment inquiry open long enough for the DC Circuit to render a decision.”

So cool, you found a judge who is pissed off over lawyers wasting her time with a pissing match.

Call my source trash (the same source that broke the Hunter Biden laptop story) and then refer me to NBC the same outlet that wouldn't even acknowledge the hunter Biden laptop until they were forced to. Not to mention these beauties. Talk about trash.

#5: NBC Airs Edited George Zimmerman 911 Call

In 2012, the shooting death of Trayvon Martin by Florida neighborhood watch coordinator George Zimmerman sparked outrage and protests around the U.S. Amid the heated moment, NBC aired the 911 call made by Zimmerman on the night of the shooting. The version that was aired gave the impression that Zimmerman’s actions were racially motivated, which intensified the public sentiment. It was later revealed that NBC had edited the call, altering the context of Zimmerman’s words. The network faced significant backlash for this. As a result, they tendered a public apology and launched an investigation into the decision. Nonetheless, Zimmerman filed a defamation lawsuit against NBC, seeking “damages in excess of the jurisdictional limit”.

#2: NBC Accused of Stifling Harvey Weinstein Bombshell

In October 2017, investigative journalist Ronan Farrow published an article in The New Yorker that brought to light numerous misconduct allegations against film producer Harvey Weinstein. The exposé played a pivotal role in igniting the global MeToo movement and helped bring Weinstein to justice. But according to the journalist, this bombshell report may never have made it to the public. Farrow claims that while working on the story for NBC News, he faced stiff opposition from top executives at the broadcasting company. He believes that this was done, in part, to conceal the allegations against their own anchor Matt Lauer. In the end, Farrow took his story to The New Yorker and received a shared Pulitzer Prize in 2018.

News is now that the bonding company was negotiating to cover the entire original bond amount when Trump announced no one would cover it, meaning another lie in court on his appeal.
