I'm pretty skeptical of this if they're threatening her through the media and on social media instead of pursuing action through the court.

Both Jack Smith and Fani Willis making asses out of themselves do not lend to these ideas:

    a) these are not politically motivated proceedings
    b) Smith and Willis have the sound temperament required for their roles
    c) they are winning
    d) they understand the task before them

I would agree I'm skeptical for same reasons. I ask the lawyers though if it is illegal to record conversations in Maryland but not in Georgia and the interviewer is in GA does that trump the interviewee in Maryland?

Since this is a matter of consent and privacy, I would hope with the interviewee being in Maryland that the Maryland law would prevail.

However, given the laws are largely written by lawyers, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were written to benefit a lawyer recording a conversation without consent. Just how it goes.

    Well you would hope wrong.

Seriously how is the first thing you did after reading this story NOT to check whether it’s legal in the state where she’s recording?

The ilks lack of common sense and even basic understanding of the law is always a source of amusement.

Surely this can't be correct. After all Fani Willis is the ethical and legal benchmark against which all aspiring lawyers are to be measured.

Fani Willis 'Inconsistencies' Discovered by Department of Justice (msn.com)

"The Justice Department confirmed in a statement first reported by The Washington Free Beacon that some inconsistencies have been found in her use of these funds.

"During our review of the award to respond to this inquiry, we have noticed some inconsistencies in what Fulton County has reported to [the Federal Subaward Reporting System] and we are working with them to update their reporting accordingly," a Justice Department spokeswoman told the conservative publication.

Specific details about what inconsistencies were found, what the specific grant was intended for, or what the funds may have been used for remained unconfirmed."

You are a real stickler for legal and ethical propriety, and I for one applaud that!!!

Could ya now opine on a conspiracy to disenfranchise thousands of voters through a conspiracy to overturn an election? Thanks!!
