More like your own ignorance apparently.

Commies literally do not allow churches, kill for practicing religion, and expressly overtly proclaim atheism.

Are you really THAT ignorant about communism???

Are you sure about this? Tucker Carlson said that communism was really awesome.

My obvious point was that kind and tolerant people don't constantly lash out like you do, calling people you don't agree with commies, etc. I've known many people like you who preen as Christians from a cold and mean-spirited heart.

But I'm talking to a wall.

It seems to me you are conflating a lot of things and coming to incorrect conclusions.

There is overlap between religion and culture but it isn’t a direct overlap. I would say Christianity is a component of US and Uk culture but some aspects of the culture are independent and run in parallel. In your mind everything good about western culture links to Christianity which I would contest. Some aspects of culture have nothing to do with religion.

Then you assert that the problem is the diminishment of the culture, which is one assertion, later you assert that it is being replaced by Muslim culture which is a different assertion.

I would agree that if current western cultures are replaced by a Muslim predominant culture, yes that could potentially be bad. But this is just another method of praising Christianity against the very low bar of the current state of Islam.

Finally, while I have seen anecdotes of Muslims behaving badly in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, I don’t have personal evidence that it is pervasive or currently a big problem. I don’t know either way. Limey lives there and doesn’t think it is an issue, so all I can do is take his word for it.

Ultimately your posts in this thread are a convoluted effort to praise Christianity by taking the comments of a known atheist and critic out of context, then exaggerating the linkage between Christianity and western culture and finally comparing to Islam, which definitely has a lot of problems, but to the extent they are pervasive in UK is not necessarily clear to me.

I would summarize what I have said in this thread as follows:

    1. Belief gives rise to and produces culture.

    2. Belief in Christianity allowed for the rise of Christian culture and all of its artifacts in the west.

    3. The West is no longer Christian in its belief system. It now worships the creature rather than the Creator. This new religious system is the religion of the left, which is the majority religion of America right now. A point I will add here: feminism, homosexuality, transgenderism, abortion, no fault divorce, and disdain for whiteness which it closely associates with Christianity represent core pillars of this creature worship.

    4. Now that the West is longer Christian the cultural artifacts of Christianity are going to gradually fade away because we do not possess the devotion and commitment that is required to maintain them. Kiss monogamous marriage good bye. We have already been gradually chipping away at the Christian cultural artifact that is marriage, and an Islamic population that is 10% that is also armed with accusations of racism, Christofacism, white supremacy, and Islamophobia that the western majority is sympathetic to will put up very little resistance to preserve monogamous marriage. The worship of the creature will have little vigor or the will to maintain monogamous marriage because it is not the religion that produced that cultural artifact.

    5. Islamic immigration and sky high birth rates represent not just a change in racial demographics but introduce a new set of beliefs into a culture. Those are beliefs that likewise will push to create its own cultural institutions.

    6. In England the Muslim population is 3.3%.

    7. Islamic populations that are 50% or more are extremely inhospitable places for non-Muslims to live.

    8. There is a continuum between 3.3% and 50%, and Islam’s impact on the culture is directly related to its population proportion in a culture. The assumption that 3.3% and 10% will look identical is wishful thinking.

That's weird, my parents literally went on a Church sponsored trip to Cuba to do religious stuff there and came back alive

I've listed them here many times.
Nearly all of your biggest child aid organisations are Christian based. (World Vision, Compassion International, etc)

Then add Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army etc. all Christian organizations.

Now check out almost all of your local food pantries and homeless shelters. They will likely be a direct church ministry of a larger christian ministry hosted by a network of local churches.

In my city of 400k I dont know of a single one that is not run by a church or church network.
I have worked directly for World Vision and now Habitat in my career in the non profit sector. Guess who we target most for fundraising. Yep. Churches.

Why? Because they are the most likely to contribute financially and through voluntary action.

There is nothing to debate in that regard.

Sure unbelievers and people of other faiths take part. But without Christian organizations there would exist very little to take part in.

No, there are official churches there too, registered with the state. The claim that churches aren't allowed or people get killed for being religious as 92 claimed is demonstrably false, in China and in Cuba. In America 'official' church attendance is slipping and more people are going "underground" if you want to use that term to mean worshiping informally outside a structured place of worship.

Lol. Registered churches arent teaching anything the government doesnt allow and are monitored for content. I mean OK. Sounds fun.

I have a cousin who spent time there providing aid for churches. Even handing out a bible could land you in jail.

Official churches here arent teaching to overthrow the government either, and if one did, it would probably invite the attention of the government lol. Lets see how a jihad mosque of Jan 6 celebrating church fares here. I will concede we are more tolerant of religious practice in general, but it only goes so far wherever you go when you are actively undermining the government.

Now to address some of these points:

    1. I agree that there is more to culture than just religion. But religion has a HUGE impact on culture.

    2. Richard Dawkins is the one in the video that laments the number of people in England who are focusing on Ramadan rather than Easter. You have yet to acknowledge that data point in your analysis. That comment was made based on his lived experience in England right now.

    3. I acknowledge the difference in your worldview and my worldview. You reject Christianity, and you most likely reject the claim of Christ that "No one is good but God alone." The implications of the connection between religion and culture mean that culture is not a morally neutral entity. There is a moral component to culture. Some cultures honor the good God more than others. Some cultural artifacts are good because they come from God who is good. Other cultural artifacts are evil because they come from idols, which are evil.

I’m not following your arguments here. As I understand it, faith is color-blind in all of the three religions we’ve been discussing. Where does race fit into any of these arguments? To be sure, there are scholarly debates to this day as to whether Moses and/or Jesus was brown-skinned - not that it does or should matter in any way.

Given the church first took root in Africa and Asia, it is probably more accurate to say it was imported to pagan whites who adopted it. That's why all the Nazi types are into paganism, runes and such, Christianity was a foreign influence to the Germanic tribes, etc. Represents a sort of pacification and feminizing influence they resent.
