Yep. Something in the software. A few other words too. Goes into mod queue and one of us has to ok it
Don’t threaten me. Back in the day, back when I smoked I would smoke Camels when I had enough money and Prince Albert or Kite when I didn’t.
My whole family smoked when I was growing up. Mom, Dad, big Bro, two sisters. Somehow I managed to avoid the habit (probably because I got into sports).
But if you don't aim it at kids how are you going to guarantee your future customer base? Dem cigarette CEO's need their mansions too.
There are certain buzz words that do that in the filter. Yah00 does it too believe it of not. I had to use zeros as o's to pass this post through. We get a notification but if no one is on it can hold up for a while
There are some words I can't even post on PMs... interesting. And these are not curse words. But I do defeat the filters quite easily... and I will not give up my secrets.
Lol, really? This can’t be true. Look at the source; surely “fake news”. Biden Administration Delays New Menthol Policy to Avoid Alienating Black Voters Biden’s menthol ban has received praise from public health advocates who say it can save hundreds of thousands of lives. The tobacco industry is also accused of disproportionately targeting the black community with its marketing of menthol cigarettes. But the issue has divided black community leaders and drawn opposition from law enforcement groups. The Rev. Al Sharpton has come out against the ban, saying it will give police more reason to target black people, though the ban’s advocates point out that he has accepted donations from industry groups. Gwen Carr, an activist and the mother of Eric Garner, says the ban is inconsistent and racially inequitable. About 81% of black adult smokers used menthol cigarettes in 2020, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, compared to 34% of white adult smokers.
Both of my parents smoked, as did so many of their generation. I hated being around it. My father smoked, often unfiltered, until the day he died at 71. Mom kept smoking for a while, then one day stopped and never smoked again. Lived to 98. It's good to see the charts show a steady decline in the percent of smokers, year by year. The charts also show a steady decline in smokers as education and income increase.
I think the ban on smoking indoors and around many recreational areas and some businesses has helped over the years. Both my parents smoked for years, in the home, I hated it. Then, when they built their new house in the early 90s they just did it outside …and eventually quit 4 or 5 years later. Unfortunately, they both passed away from lung related illnesses 8 & 11 years ago.
