No doubt many of us do not know Russ Calloway very well. But if he is going to have more influence with the offense, then, I am all in! https://youtube.com/shorts/lqD8d-b_WSY?si=fgCNmH-ZeGapGOF3
So, your point is that we are no better, but then we already knew that! Napier's first year was on Toney! Year two, per Gator great Stephen Harris, some of the defensive coaches (who were dismissed from the team) were letting players slack in practice; and we watched it unfold in games. Somebody('s) complained about it and Napier dealt with the issue at the end of the year. Proof is in the pudding. Different coaches, different mentality, different practices, and different results. Clearly, we haven't seen a real game yet, but I'm confident this is turning around. And for the naysayers, the third year has not begun. So, let's allow the season to begin!
I also believe Princely confirms this very thought about one of those coaches. Whole thread about it on this very board. I love how CBN takes care of a problem.
So we hired someone who brought in bad/horrible coaches and we want to give credit to him for firing those very coaches..OK..please let me know when he fires the special teams whatever he is and addresses that.
I have a strong suspicion that they are not mutually exclusive. The cause is Grantham and the effect is trash. It's just taking time to clean up the mess. At the same time, his replacements also bare responsibility, to what level is up for debate.
we are just now getting a handful of freshman into their third year and year three is the first year I expect much out of a class. It’s a small class, so I don’t expect too terribly much, but we should start going in the right direction if it’s going to go that way.
