At this point, I only want Glover back just because I know how much it means to Tampa.

We need someone who can defend a versatile 2/3. That killed us all year.
    We need a PG

Get those two things and we should be improved from last year with more experience inside now.

As far as the portal goes, I'm just praying I don't soon open NBN and see that Walter Clayton Jr. has gone pro or entered the portal himself. We need WC!!

We definitely need him, but TG needs to prepare for the possibility that he departs. Doesn't Koren Johnson from Washington also have us on his short list?

I seriously doubt that anyone else on here would consider me to be a troll, although they might think that you’re one. I will respond to your post despite the complete and total ignorance of it. Obviously, his injury is a factor. That has been noted many times by me. He left UF because his college career was being ruined by Mike White. He didn’t play much, and when he did, it usually wasn’t at the point. He transferred to Samford, which was mired in mediocrity, and led them to a winning season. In addition to being a team leader, he was 2nd in the Southern Conference in scoring and first in assists. If I recall correctly, he was runner up for player of the year in the conference. He is one of the quickest players in college basketball, and he jumps out of the gym. That little guy has windmill dunked in games. He is a facilitator type of point guard who scores in droves when necessary. He was national player of the week when Samford upset Ole Miss on the road in the same season that UF lost to Ole Miss on the road. He signed with Kansas State last season, and he was offered by many other power conference teams, including, reportedly, the Gators. The bottom line is that you don’t have a clue as to what you are talking about.

If that happened, make no mistake, we would be screwed. No one out there who can immediately replace his scoring punch, IMO. But I am reasonably optimistic that A) his size, defense, and point guard capabilities won't get him great reviews from the NBA, and B) NIL package will keep him from going overseas to help support himself.

Agreed. It just seems like it's getting late in game to declare now. But I'm no expert and don't have any inside info.

In 51 games as a Gator he proved my point. He didn't get playing time here because he'd go into games trying to make an instant impact instead of letting the game come to him like veteran players do. Todd Golden wants disciplined basketball players, not players who are trying to get 20 points a game by halftime and will play with reckless abandon in the process. That might fly in at a place like Samford but not against SEC defenders.

His career was being ruined because he had no business being recruited by us in the first place. Literally no other major team offered him (Murray State, New Mexico State, Florida International, Western Carolina, UNC-Asheville, and Northern Kentucky showed interest). Most thought the take was to establish a pipeline into Tennessee, which ended up being a dead end with Samson Ruzhentsev being another bust. There's a long list of players we should've never offered under Mike White.

Seems UConn is the early leader, with where the two programs are comparatively right now, that’s a tough pull.

Guys just because we've heard of a guy/seen him play against UF doesn't make him the best choice. Glover? Really? Is what this team needs a small guard who doesn't defend or pass well and had a NEGATIVE assist to turnover ratio at Samford last year?

You’re foaming at the mouth with made up garbage. There was never one word about how taking a Knoxville kid would open doors to non-Tennessee players who were going to prep schools in Tennessee. Additionally, what do his offers out of high school have to do with Ques now? After his 2 years at Samford, he was getting plenty of Power conference opportunities. He also never tried to get 20 points in a half. You’re making up garbage. Just to be clear, I watched this kid play about 50 games at Samford. In practically every game, he was better than the opposing point guard, and he usually was the best player on the floor. Ques also would hardly take any shots in the first 10 to 15 minutes of the first half of each game as his focus was on getting his teammates fully involved. There are many players in the Southern Conference good enough to succeed in power conferences. We’re going after one right now. Here’s my suggestion. Go find some video of Ques playing at Samford and report back. Until then you have zero credibility.

Another guy who hasn’t watched Ques play. The kid is a great facilitator and passer. He played with a badly injured knee in his last year at Samford and usually wasn’t at the point. He still made 2nd team all conference, averaged 24 points per game on a per-40 minute basis, made 38% of his 3’s, shot 51% from 2 and made 85% of his free throws. He led the league in assists in his first year at Samford. As for defense, he is a solid perimeter defender who can get exploited down low.

He had two years here to prove himself. In no games did I feel like he even belonged on the floor with the other 9 players. It felt like I was watching a walk-on play. It's funny that everyone associates you with this kid because literally no one else thinks he's good enough to play at UF.

Ques played well his first season at Sanford and then went down with injury midway through his second season. Transferred two more times over a six month period and then this past year was lost to injury once again.

IMO, unless K-State runs him off, Glover should stay there as the Wildcats have a decent program that thrives on the transfer portal. At the same time, if he were to transfer and even show interest in returning, I seriously doubt UF would even touch him as they can do a lot better (as we saw this year with Zyon Pullin).

Apparently, Florida offered Ques a scholarship last year before they offered ZP. How do you know we could do a lot better than Ques if Ques turns out to be 100% healthy for the next coming season? By the way, in Ques’s last season at Samford, in the last regular season game of the southern conference against Furman, Ques, on one leg, performed as well or better than the point guard from Furman we are currently recruiting.

Why the bullshit about no one else thinking he is good enough to play at UF? You keep making stuff up and not posting anything insightful. Also, we were told before the current season that TG offered Ques a scholarship. If Ques had taken it, he would have been our point guard.
