Well that would be a new experience for ole Miss. They're one of only 4 teams that have never been to the SEC championship game. Even the Cowbells have been once.
Missouri. College Football Standings - 2023 Southeastern Conference Standings - ESPN Missouri Tigers 2024 Regular Season NCAAF Schedule - ESPN Missouri also plays the following last place teams among others: Vanderbilt (0-8) Miss St (1-7) Arkansas (1-7) South Carolina (3-5) Auburn (3-5) Texas AM (4-4) Oklahoma (7-2, B12) Alabama (8-0, SEC) ======================================= Meanwhile, Florida has the following difficulty in their SEC schedule: Miss St (1-7) Kentucky (3-5) Texas AM (4-4) Tennessee (4-4) Ole Miss (6-2) LSU (6-2) Texas (8-1, B12) Georgia (8-0, SEC) =============================================
Nice darkhorse pick. Talk about under the radar.... Can't stand them but they were playing some good football last year.
Tennesse's most difficult SEC games in order (based on last year's standings): at Vanderbilt (0-8) Miss St (1-7) at Arkansas (1-7) Kentucky (3-5) Florida (3-5) at Oklahoma (7-2, B12) Alabama (8-0, SEC) at Georgia (8-0, SEC) Missouri plays 6 non-winning teams compared to Tennessee's 5 non-winning teams. Tennessee would most likely finish 6-2 at best while Missouri could finish 7-1 at best. As for Florida, I think that the Gators are likely to finish 3-5/4-4 in the SEC at best. If Florida's defense significantly improves (for which we are all waiting upon to happen) then that would improve UF's chances to have an even bigger season than what seems realistic.
Texas is the most likely as they return the most productive quarterback, but if not them why not Florida? We have just as much talent and experience as any team remaining.
