I’ve heard @wingtee called several things before—but I think that’s the first time I’ve ever heard him called good….;)

    SULLY POST GAME TIDBITS
*Who wants to take over the CF job? Who wants to take over the 3B job? Maybe we need to sit down with those 6-7 guys because we need 2 guys to emerge from the group. The revolving door has to end.
*Not looking for defense - not looking for offense - looking for both. Looking for someone to step up and take the job.
*Moving Shelnut to third is an option but someone has to take over left.
*Didn't want to bring Cade in on a Tuesday in the 7th when we score 10 runs but you have to do what you have to do to win a game - not the game plan going in.
*Neely needs to give 5-6 strong innings to make it work out for him on Fridays - can't deplete the bullpen on Friday nights. Can probably go 80-85 pitches at this point - need him to pitch to contact to limit the pitch count. If it doesn't work and we are still in the same position why make the change but we made the change so we are going to stick with it for a bit.
*Missouri always plays us tough. Played Vandy tough last weekend - their starting pitching is good. At this point anyone can give us fits as we have been incredibly inconsistent.

That approach generally works, but considering the averages of the guys trying to break into the line up, it's a necessity. Rather than looking at a season BA, it seems necessary to look at the last few games- even the last few at bats. Garrison and Donay both have shown some offense lately and should play until they cool off. Donay can play LF to allow Shelnut to move to 3B. That still leaves CF uncertain, but Yost has shown he can compete with Guy and Mikey. It's much better to have a set lineup of players whose play is predictable, but that's not the team right now. Some of the guys who were hitting well have faded, but no one is stepping up to steal their jobs. I believe the only real answer is being patient and rewarding players who produce. That has kept us winning SEC series, so far.

    Where the crawfish stay.
I really can’t remember a more inconsistent team that has as many inconsistencies across the Board.
Not just the miserable play at CF and 3B but also the pitching. Ryan Slater and Brandon Neely haven’t been sharp . Actually pretty bad as of late. Yes a good moment here and there but Slater/ Neely look below average this year. Some of the freshman have showed improvement but the upper class men including Jameson have been struggling. Cag’s and Ty have keep us in some many games. The Luke, DT, Guy and Robertson part of the order is almost a guaranteed out. I honestly can’t not remember a aGator squad that had only 2 hitters above .300. And I never remember a team with hitters in the low to sub .200.
Sully gave Freshman opportunities last year in Kurland and Heyman but some of the guys this year have had very short leashes.
I still enjoy the games and this site in particular but this team has been quiet the roller coaster. Here’s to hoping things come together in the latter part of the season.

I would point to the 2017 team. I believe our hitting was pretty weak on that one. Yet we still won.

    You were a GM?

Sorry. I just watched some of Moneyball again.

Actually got to talk to a GM once in the stands. Roland Hemond.
