Mulkey has an excuse as she was too busy getting her group ready to be completely outplayed and out-coached by a less talented team. Usually the bigger and more athletic team wins but when you decide to defend the best player in Women’s College Basketball with a slow footed girl who couldn’t defend me, you are going to lose. Of course it didn’t help when your star, Angel Reese, craps the bed by shooting 7-21 despite not attempting a shot more than three feet away from the goal.
