Do you think they would have considered Biden designating March 31 as a day to honor law enforcement to be an attack on Easter?
Devout Christians probably. I would find it problematic if he made proclaimed any day on top of an existing easter. (I know he did not, just saying) Would some people have a double standard? I mean of course.
Ugh, poor JB. Now he’s denying he issued the proclamation for trans visibility. Plus, he’s celebrating the Easter Egg Roll with the “oyster bunnies”. Poor guy, he really needs to retire. 'Didn't Do That': Biden Denies He Proclaimed Easter Sunday 'Transgender Day of Visibility' (He Did) According to a White House pool report, Biden was asked to respond to House Speaker Mike Johnson's (R-LA) statement that it was "outrageous" for Easter Sunday to be proclaimed Transgender Day of Visibility. "He's thoroughly uninformed," the president said of Speaker Johnson. When asked to clarify, Biden replied "I didn't do that." Some tried to explain Biden's quote by blaming the president's trademark confusion, suggesting Biden meant it wasn't him, personally, who established the last day of March as the date on which to celebrate supposedly otherwise invisible transgender individuals, but that ultimately doesn't matter. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre echoed Biden's false denial — as Katie reported on Monday — calling it "misinformation" for people to note that President Biden proclaimed Transgender Day of Visibility on Easter Sunday.
Biden is correct. He didn't make Easter Sunday Transgender Day of Visibility. He did issue a proclamation in support of Transgender Day of Visibility. The date has been used every year since 2009. Because of how calendars work, this year it was on Easter (it was also on Easter in 2013, I don't remember any outrage then, not sure where there is outrage now). Next year the two events will be on different days again. And they will be on different days every year until 2086.
I can’t complain because there is a designated day for left handed people like myself? Ive suffered greatly by not having a left handed desk through my 12 years of school. I have a back issue from sitting caddywompus for 12 damn years. At least I’m in my right mind so there’s that. Anyone know the phone number to Morgan and Morgan? left handed people's day - Google Search
This is from the left-leaning Newsweek. Maybe it was intentional mis-information and inaccurate “news” reporting? “Today is the Transgender Day of Visibility, and President Joe Biden marked the occasion by becoming the first U.S. president to issue a formal presidential proclamation recognizing the occasion. In the proclamation, Biden praised the transgender community for "generations of struggle, activism, and courage that have brought our country closer to full equality for transgender and gender non-binary people in the United States and around the world." Along with officially designating March 31, 2021, as Transgender Day of Visibility, the president also called upon "all Americans to join in the fight for full equality for all transgender people." + “In his proclamation, Biden acknowledged the continuing struggles the trans community endures and called violence against them "a stain on our nation's conscience." Biden First President to Issue Transgender Day of Visibility Proclamation
Biden marked March 31st as Transgender Day of Visibility. You may not be aware of this, but Easter Sunday is on a different date each year.
No way!!! Easter Sunday is always on March 31st, regardless of the day of the week March 31st falls!! As has been shown in this discussion, JB formalized the Transgender Visibilty event in the US in 2021. Then, on 3/39/24, Good Friday, the White House, ie JB, issued another proclamation announcing that celebration of Trans-Visibility in 2024 would be on Easter Sunday. To deny either proclamation is disingenuous. Now, considered JB’s condition, I doubt he really did either but rather these announcements were issued by some irreligious progressive staff member. Now, I’m in no place to judge JB or any other person, but from what I can see from my little place in the world, it appears it would be a tremendous challenge to live a Christian life as a politician. Far too great a need to “sell you soul” to achieve power and remain there.
When there is a criminal running for POTUS who has demonstrated that he will attack every last fiber and institution of our country to preserve and enrich himself.....then a vote for the candidate most likely to beat him is the ONLY good option. Even if that guy's a little too old.
Easy to say if you support the old guys policies. When you do not, he becomes a second bad choice. I use my vote vote as my conscience dictates. I make no fake assumptions that that vote will decide anything. If Trump wins my state by one vote then I'll eat crow.
Don't want to start another thread about what Trumpf did on Easter, so I'll post it here: He posted 77 messages on social media. Did he go to church? (Nope) Guess what Biden did?
Trump didn't go to church Easter Sunday, he played golf. "He is no longer president," says one insider, "so he doesn't have to go to church." How Trump Spent Easter: 'He Is No Longer President, So He Doesn't Have to Go to Church' Oh, by the way... And finally, Trump attempting to recite the Lord's Prayer without a teleprompter. You can tell it's an older video, Melania is with him. Spoiler alert: As most can imagine, it did NOT go well. The article: MSN
5-8% of the world is gay/bi. 0.2% of the worlds population is Jewish. What happens when Passover and Easter coincide, as they often do? Y’all gonna go ballistic when POTUS tells Jewish Americans “good Pesach” on Easter Sunday or Good Friday? Try finding a real problem to solve instead of this make believe bullshit. We can walk and chew gum at the same time.
