I have fat thumbs and hit the wrong key all the time but I go back and correct my mistakes quickly, regardless the attempts it takes lol.
Tyvm for posting this here so I could see it. Amazing podcast. Love how they mentioned my favorite home run ever. Kelsey Stewart against Washington in the supers. Lightning struck as Kelsey sent the bomb over the fence. Marinate on that Huskies during the weather delay lol.
I agree with your list if I was voting. The Softball world right now doubts the Gators. At a minimum, I would say Skylar, Korbe, Kendra and Jocey, with maybe Ava and Keagan as Freshman All Americas.
D1Softball Midseason Awards And Superlatives TOP STORIES D1Softball Staff - March 28, 2024 We are officially at the halfway point of the 2024 college softball season. Teams are firmly settled into their years, meaningful games are an almost-daily occurrence, and the postseason picture is already beginning to take shape. At this halfway point in the year, the D1Softball staff gave ourselves a prompt: “If the season ended today…” From there, we explored some of the major awards that are handed out at year’s-end and who would likely take home those trophies based on what’s been done thus-far. Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and Freshman of the Year are the primary awards that we looked at, but we also awarded some superlatives at this midway spot. What player has embodied the term “breakout star” to this point in the year? What team as a whole has performed similarly? Some notable trends: Florida’s Skylar Wallace and Oklahoma’s Tiare Jennings split the votes for Midseason Player of the Year, buoying the impact that both have had on their respective teams to this point. Stanford’s NiJaree Canady was a near-unanimous Midseason Pitcher of the Year, while Karlyn Pickens from Tennessee also garnered attention. The categories Freshman of the Year and Breakout Star saw different players named on each ballot, underscoring the depth of talent in both categories. Here are our full selections for Midseason Awards and a pair of superlatives. All that Kansas love and then Okla swept them.....kept one game respectable but lost game 2 17-0 in 5
Shoutout to Reagan Walsh! Tremendous improvement at the plate this season. I don’t think she’s getting enough love!
If anyone can find and post a video of Kelsey’s home run vs Washington in the supers I will love you forever lol. For the life of me I can’t find it anywhere. I need to relive that moment!
I agree, she has become so patient at the plate. She is one of my favorites since she stepped on campus. I wish other SEC coaches would recognize her. 20 homeruns would do it. I don’t want to jinx her. Go Reagan!
I can’t find it either and I looked for years. At that time I don’t think anyone uploaded games or highlights to YouTube and the official NCAA page never uploaded that game to YouTube.
Gators dropped to 10th in SA poll.....Been watching Arky GA game and both pitchers who both pitched well were relieved after 3 innings. Not a bad idea. Maybe TW should try that with Ava & Keagan.
Hogs beat Dogs 8-2 with a grand slam in 7th. Gators now in sole possession of second place 1 game behind Vols. To say this series with LSU this weekend is huge is an understatement.
