Interesting to see if they’re true number one Nate Dohm is ready for tomorrow. If so, going to be a real battle. Even if not going to be a real battle the way these kids scrap kudos to their coach for the way they battle every at bat. That being said Sully will have everybody ready
I think it’s becoming more and more apparent that we were overhyping Peterson (and a lot of our other pitchers) during the Fall. They performed well but we overestimated the quality of the bats they were facing. Our offense has not been great.
Similar to drugs and alcohol, in baseball homeruns have the ability to mask underlying problems. When they go away you're left with who you are.
The bad news is we're 10-10 in our last 20 games. The good news is tomorrow we have Cags and then next week is FAMU and three games vs Mizzou who is really, REALLY bad. So we SHOULD be 20-11 heading to Tallahassee which sounds a lot better than 15-11.
Assuming a win tomorrow and then a sweep @Missouri is way too premature. Every SEC game is a grind and you can't presume any wins, especially on the road no matter what the team's record happens to be.
I'm aware of the school and it's hardly big time. It's not Douglas or similar, but yea with perfect game and camps there are few hidden gems. Point was he had no real ties to Fla schools so it's easy to see him going out of state. Let's not act like he was ours for the taking. Do you know why he picked Miss St? Why didn't he go to UM, they are a short drive from his HS?
Serious question. Why don't they have a lefthanded and righthanded pitch count for guys like Cijntje? When I pitched the arm gave out WAY before the legs. Ran into Dave Falcone leaving the game. He stayed until the bitter end.
Will be at the game tomorrow. Hoping our boys play Meatloaf ball,.... "2 out of 3 ain't bad." Win the series. GO GATORS!!!!
Well... Normally I would agree with you about the SEC, but this Mizzou team is SEC solely because of the patch on their jerseys. They are awful. 10-18 overall. 1 win in their last 11 games. They're 5-5 in Q4 games. We need to sweep that team.
They did beat Kentucky 1 out of 3, Kentucky's only SEC loss so far. Florida's team ERA is now 6.09, worst in the SEC. Missouri's ERA is better. Our team BA is .278. Only South Carolina and Missouri are lower. I'm not saying Missouri isn't a bad team, but they are a D1, SEC college basebal team and it's hard to beat any team 3 times in 3 days. Should we and do we need to - of course. But, again, assuming a road SEC sweep is very presumptious, as is assuming a win today just because Jac is on the mound. No game is easy and you have to take them one at a time and grind out wins.
