"But there aren’t “stars” at NBC News. That’s a fantasy."

I don't disagree. Popular personalities perhaps, but no stars on any of the network news programs. My preference is to read news reports from various sources for balance.

That's really what's offending you - the fact that WaPo called the leading faces on TV news 'stars?' Obviously, that's a subjective word but it's one that's used often to describe the more-viewed TV news people, whether it's NBC, Fox, CNN, etc. Even local news. Unless you've got important sports teams, the local TV news folks are about the biggest, and maybe only, celebrities in town.
But how about 'celebrities?' Is that an acceptable term? Or how would you refer to them?

Maybe I live a sheltered life but I don’t know anyone who considers a “news folk” to be a celebrity or star. Maybe in the pre-cable days when a market had three VHF, one UHF, and a PBS channel they picked up via rabbit ears antenna. But today, when so much of the world is streaming, I think “news folks”, especially on local tv, are relatively unknown outside of the few people who still watch that miserable stuff.

“the local TV news folks are about the biggest, and maybe only, celebrities in town.”

Only some people are allowed to call themselves "stars." And only in the proper circumstances.

"I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. ... Grab 'em by the ****y."

    Right?

You're right. It could more in the past.

A look back at when local TV newscasters were our biggest celebrities

I see ANTIFA, BLM, FBI "informants" all having a fun with actors paid for by the DNC. This video is a complete fabrication and does NOT prove anyone is guilty for trespassing in the Capital building. This is nothing more than a scuffle outside somewhere in D.C. This is also showing that some people should be charged with brawling outside in the streets.

If they fight in the streets are they not guilty for their own actions? Hail yes, they are guilty of fighting.

Except all these Antifa "actors" have all been found to pledge their loyalty to Trump when convicted in court. Why would our court system take crisis actors to court and put them in jail for 10s of years?

I know logic and knowing things isn't your jam but maybe one day you will leave your fantasy world before you take a cup out of the big purple kool-aid pot.

Trump is NOT guilty for other people's actions... If you think other can be blamed for these people's own actions then we'd have a line for miles around every court room in the nation claiming someone else is at fault for their crimes.

Go shout FIRE in a crowded theater and see how that legal theory works out for you.

Trump's most devout supporters are dumb, deranged and violent and will threaten or hurt people at his behest at the drop of a hat.

And what does that have to do with Trump's case here? Non sequitur nonsense...

They were scuffling out side... in the open grass. What does Trump have to do with that?

I was trying to educate you (lost cause, I get it) on why Trump would be guilty legally of inciting violence.
