I am curious what Trump fans would like to see during a second presidency. Obviously a wall and a change to how we interact with our immigration laws. What are some of the other specifics?
Everyone should have to change their underwear three times a day, and they have to wear their underwear on the outside to prove it.
It's all been spelled out. The country will be moved towards a white, evangelical, autocratic theocracy with loads of child labor and rollbacks of equal rights for women and minorities. Combine this with the repeal of the 22nd amendment allowing Trump to be prez-for-life and you pretty much have the Handmaid's Tale. More detail here: Project 2025 | Presidential Transition Project
A Trump store in the White House that sells Trump university degrees, Trump hotdogs, Trump sneakers, Trump vodka, Trump bibles, Trump condoms, Trump‘s book of lies, Trump hair dye, and a lot of other Trump goodies.
I'm not a trump fan but tbh I'm kinda hoping to see what happens when someone who under normal circumstances should be living in a nursing home memory care center telling half imagined stories from their youth is instead running the most powerful nation in history. Given the candidates I have basically a 100% chance of seeing this. Should be neat.
Close the borders to illegals, and try to de-escalate the war between Israel and Hamas. And I'd like to see him help foster a peace treaty between the Ukraine and Russia. That would be a good start.
More than anything I’d like it to happen just so I can see the lefties on this site heads explode. Would be an epic few weeks on too hot.
What? If you can't see the differences in the two parties for the following issues, then you may be blind: immigration support for Ukraine support for Russia international relations and coalition building purchase of Greenland support or opposition of global warming domestic spending college loan forgiveness corporate tax cuts gun control abortion culture wars / tolerance
How do you envision Trump fostering a peace treaty between Ukraine and Russia? Russia has much more leverage over Trump than Trump has over Russia. And Putin is much, much smarter than Trump. Remember, just because Trump is arrogant does not mean he is intelligent. Any peace that Trump negotiates will be followed by a period of peace and a buildup of the Russian military, funded by control over the world's breadbasket initially (and by control over Ukraine's minerals later). In a few years, Russia will make up another excuse to continue the war, and roll right over Ukraine and into Moldova and any other place not protected by NATO. In other words, Trump will leave a disaster for some future president to deal with. And how do you suspect Trump will be able to de-escalate the war between Israel and Hamas? That war has been going on for decades, and will only be solved by Israel and the Palestinians.
Wondering if he still wants to build a ring around the Iraqi oil, so we can take some and repay ourselves for our expenses there.
LOL, maybe two of those are meaningful. Neither party wants to stop illegal immigration. Both parties have spent this country into oblivion, you didn't see the latest CR passed recently? The rest are just political sound bites to get the base riled up.
I think Putin knows that his country is hemorrhaging national treasure, and he'd rather build then deplete his nation's capital. I'll bet Putin would welcome getting out of that war more than most of the media is willing to admit in their coverage... nightly telecasts of that war. I think it's our people... certain people, that might have an UN-publicized goal in mind... with regard to that outcome of that conflict. So who knows when that war will end and whether or not Trump can convince both sides to call a truce. Land will be lost... but it's land that Russia already had before the war even got started in earnest. I think the tricky part would be for Trump to convince our military leaders that we have to find an amicable end to that war, more so than it would be for him to convince Putin to end it.
The notion that proxy war would weaken Russia is now a threadbare trope. Russia is stronger now, relative to the West, than its been since perhaps the 70’s.
Ecorporations don't pay taxes. Corporations don't pay taxes. only people pay taxes. Corporate officials may sign the check, that goes to the IRS but that money comes from the corporation’s employees, customers or stockholders. Corporation are just intermediaries through which their employees, customers and stockholders cooperate for their mutual benefit. Paraphrasing Milton Friedman
Maybe they're ramping up the military machine much like we did in the early '40's right before, and during, WWII.
I want to see Trump finally keep one of his promises and have Mexico actually pay for something. It doesn't have to be much...a bag of cement, a piece of steel. Hell, at this point, even a couple of Tacos would be a significant improvement over what Trump accomplished in his first term.
