Drop ball pitcher gets 3 ground balls, all requiring really good plays from their infielders to get the outs. But other than Wallace getting HBP, Gators retired fairly easily in the top of the 1st.

 

Brown gets a ground ball for the first out, then gives up a triple off the left center field wall. She intentionally walks their #3 hitter, then gets an easy grounder back to the pitcher. 2 outs, runners on 2nd and 3rd.

 

Official scorer changes the triple to a double and an error or Otis. Brown walks the #5 batter to load the bases, 2 down.

 

A little blooper just out of the reach of Wallace falls into short left center, scoring 2 runs. Ground out back to Brown ends the inning, but the Gators are in a 2-0 hole right off the bat.

 

Not making solid contact yet.

 

3 up 3 down for the Gators in the 2nd, two of them swinging strikeouts on drop balls in the dirt.

 

Every team outside of Oklahoma have games and series like this. How will the girls respond the rest of the game and the final game tomorrow? Our girls are young, talented and fighters.

Why isn't Walsh playing 2B? I don't understand Walton's obsession w/ M. Williams. Nothing against her, she's a freshman and I'm sure she'll become a great player during her tenure at UF, but she's currently hitting .189 with a .288 OBP
