Baseball vs FSU in JAX, Tue 3/26, 6:00 pm

I wish we would change this series back to a weekend one and alternate home and away like we do Miami..I hate these "week day" games...many of our loses have been these type..UCF, Stetson, JU fsu (twice)

 

Who do you want pitching/playing in these midweek games that Sully isn't using? You seem to be suggesting we should use the weekend starters....cause that's the only bodies off limits midweek. You do realize that right?

 

That’s been his MO for years now. At some point he needs to know who he can & can’t count on from the bullpen, for later in the season. And midweek games provide that. It sucks that it is FSU, but I’ll take an SEC series weekend win every time.

 

14-10 now? Ouch. Pretty much all midweek game losses to nobodies, except the embarrassment that is the two FSU games.

Sucks we've started getting beaten down by them now after all of those wins in a row we had.

 

Sully has a pretty fantastic record against FSU. 22 of the last 28. This is not a typical midweek.

It's the MO for almost EVERY big time school. Not sure why folks don't know this. FSU does the same thing. There bullpen just dominated us today led by a guy who literally threw 90% curveballs. These same relievers got destroyed against Clemson. Yet we continue our swing for the fences approach and strike out 13 times. As I have said, outside of a few hitters on this team, our hitting approach is awful. That starts with coaching.

Even the announcers made a comment about our guys swinging too hard at the curveballs.

 

There’s an obvious disconnect at midweek games. The routine is needing a change.

Sully post game comments said exactly that...he's clearly pretty pissed

 

Their fans will be coming off of a home circus weekend (DH on Saturday); their minds won't be right. I like our advantage in that one. We should go.
