Totally sucks, but it is where the game has gone. My guess is this will not be good for the Gators.

We have one on the transfer watch list in my opinion... According to the article on the front page Kelby Collins moved to interior lineman at 275lbs??? Perhaps CBN already knows who is on his roster post spring and who we are adding?

Didn’t we just read an article that said Napier’s recruiting budget increased 45% or something?

That’s good for a bunch of bells and whistles but that’s not putting the paycheck in the kids pocket.

I assume it will free booster money to go to NIL. And may spur NIL funds 8n other ways.

That’s what’s already happening and doesn’t have anything to do with nil. They are supposedly upping the recruiting budget. That’s probably booster money too unless they are funding it tgems

Unless they expect him to gain more weight, I'm guessing this might be a 3rd and long type assignment to get another effective pass rusher on the field.

Unless we've somehow adopted UGa's creative accounting methodologies.

Recruiting money should be used for recruiting, unless they’ve made it legal to use it for nil. it’s only another million dollars anyway and it’s not going to buy very many recruits

I would have never thought Ole Miss would be a leader in NIL funding this past year. Just takes a few mega millionaires to be a player here. That ou 200,000 alumni giving $10 per month to NIL also gives us $24 million per year

I’m thinking 24 million would probably get you in the top 10 but not at the top. But what do we know

But doesn’t this free up booster money to be pushed towards NIL instead of going to anything UF can *legally* pay for??

I think Collins is built to eventually move inside, even if undersized currently. Isn't our SDE and Edge deeper than DT? Believe he gives us a 5th DT, which is needed. Dez is not likely a dependable DT, one that can play a lot of downs per game and be effective. Do you believe his move inside is more than that?

I think bigger SDE's move inside frequently, but are sometimes not very effective other than on obvious passing downs. Bullard was the last one that I think was really good as an all around DT after he was moved inside.

He was always going to be a DT, but has quickness so they used him on the edge while he gained muscle mass. With his frame he is going to have plenty of weight to play DT effectively and be very quick and disruptive. Compare him to Searcy, and its clear to see that Searcy will remain an end/edge/F as he will be able to maintain the weight and can rush/tackle/drop for that position. He should be a good one too. We will be saying the same things about McCray next year as we are now saying about Collins.

I don't care where they put Collins. Some guys can just play anywhere on the line. As long as can be disruptive, aggressive, and be consistent about it all while still wreaking havoc in the back field I'll take it. He can be a Defensive Edge EndTackle and I would just chalk it up to another crazy CBN title as long as he impacts the game.
