We have reached out to Rutgers Center..Cliff Omoruyi

Physical big like Tyrese Samuel. Great downlow defender and rebounder. Idk about his offense though

    "
He’s a physically dominant big man who stands just shy of 7-feet with long arms and a chiseled frame. He averaged 13.2 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks as a junior in 30.3 minutes per night, but saw those numbers dip slightly to 10.4 points, and 8.3 rebounds, with 2.9 blocks as a senior.

Omoruyi’s best attribute is his ability to protect the rim. He finished 3rd overall in the country last year in block percentage, at 12.72% per KenPom, and has been number one overall in the country in league play in each of the last two years. He balances his shot-blocking with an ability to clean the glass, as he has finished inside the top five players in the country in defensive rebounding rate (in league play) in each of the last two years as well." -247 scouting report
Sounds like exactly what we need tbh. We have the finesse guys. We need a big Patric Young type center to provide the anchor and much need defense for next year's run.

I’m guessing St. John’s, but money talks.

Kentucky has also offered and recruited him in high school.

Him being from Daytona makes me think we have to immediately be the frontrunner here.

On the other hand, when it comes to the number of games decided by 5 points or less, he's frickin' Rain Man.

Historically speaking which may mean nothing, daytona kids are often a Florida/fsu battle unless some out of state power cherry picks like they have the past decade across multiple sports.

FSU basketball is a sellers stock. It's close to worthless.

I have felt that before about their basketball and football programs before they had resurgences. Just saying.

think I'd hold out for someone more consistent. 3 pt % is nice at 43%, but he went 6 games at 2-24 from 3 (one game was 2-10).

nice frame, 6' 11", 240 lb. The bad news is that he's a 60% FT shooter, but good news is that he only averages about 3 FTs per game. Also 20% 3 pt shooter. Would be great rim protector and get his points on put backs.

Love the 3 years of remaining eligibility, as well as his size.

unless chandler parsons and one other specific individual backed off…basketball NIL funding has not and is not an issue. From what I have heard, more people are interested in and donating to UF hoops NIL now than prior to the start of the season due to the exciting style of ball the team played, some success they had this year / overall improvement, etc. a near perfect home record didn’t hurt either. (Pretty much the inverse of the football side- fans seem to believe more and see optimism with golden and hoops vs football)

Malik Mack from Harvard averaged 17.2 ppg, 4.8 apg, and 4.0 rpg as a freshman at Harvard. He's ranked as the #3 prospect in the portal by On3. Guessing we'll be reaching out to him.

Vanderbilt's Tyrin Lawrence would be a terrific pickup for a one year stint. Guessing he'll have heaps of interest from SEC schools.

Even the best shooters have bad nights. That's why you need multiple levels of scoring.

Will Richard came to UF from Belmont. Maybe he can work the phones on this one.

Seen differently, he shot 48% in all remaining (26) games from 3PT while scoring 22 PPG. That's ELITE.
