From a fundamental development situational football standpoint we are situationally developing, right? So I think when you have, right, a group, right, from a leadership perspective, right, that is in a position to develop, right, that’s the situation, right?
LOL. Ogre would be proud. But seriously, why do they even do these stupid press conferences. They are worthless and to tell you the truth kinda embarrassing.
You all must have watched a different press conference than I did. He was focused. He answered questions with what I thought were some pretty nuanced responses. And he reflected a sense of confidence in the progress the team is making. It’s Spring training for goodness sake. My guess: you had decided before watching; and you brought your negativity with you, which, of course, means you brought your myopic views, which don’t allow you to really see or hear.
Lighten up Francis… gonna be a long off season if we can’t have a little fun. I didn’t come in negative. In fact, I’ve been vocal about what an A+ I thought CBN off season was. But calling his pressers “nuanced” is a stretch. It’s spring. He’s not gonna say a lot. No coach is. I learned nothing except he thinks the OL is gonna have depth. Which- if I’m remembering correctly… we had a spring around here not too long ago where the OL was lavished with praise and then it was awful. So I don’t take much away from spring. But he has mastered saying a lot of words without saying really much of anything, right?
I would compare Billys reality right now to one of the 600 British infantry, (btw the last war the Brits utilized red coats for their "Yeomanry") with their 2 shot, Martini - Henrys, dispersed in an impossibly long line, trying to hold back the "Horns" of 22,000 Zulus at Isandalawana. Nary a damn one survived and those redcoats were stained with a darker color thanks to Zulu Assegais. In the description above, the Zulus of course represent the press, social media and the UF fan base.
Billy talking up Nunnery in light of the linebacker injuries (James, Wingo, Graham) reminds me of the time when Lacedrick Brunson was talked up in the same way when he was forced into action. I hope it's not the same thing.
I don't think anybody believes Nunnery is our savior at LB although he is athletic. We have plenty of that at LB. Now we need some to put it to use.
