Baseball vs FSU in JAX, Tue 3/26, 6:00 pm

fsu goes into Clemson undefeated at 19-0, and gets mauled. If you didn’t follow their games this past weekend, they’re worth looking up. Now 19-3, and accomplished in the best possible ways. Absolutely unbelievable and fun stuff, if you’re a Clemson or Gators fan. Enjoy.

 

Game 1, FSU scores 4 in the 1st inning, then loses 15-5. Game 2, FSU takes an 8-1 lead going to the bottom of the 9th, gives up 8 runs and loses 9-8. Game 3, FSU blows an 11-2 lead and loses 14-12. That is special!!

 

Obviously all of their recruitment and transfer portal efforts to shore up their bullpen are starting to pay dividends…

 

Thank you for sharing this lovely information. Between the corn dogs series and FSU blowing huge leads only to get swept, it just feels like all things are aligning in the universe.

Sounds like a bunch of crappola to me.

 

PC keeps popping up here periodically but does anyone have inside intel on his progress? I'd prefer not to expect him before the latter stages of the season- if then... and can't see him pitching more than 1-2 innings at the start of comeback. Outside of the three weekend SPs: my take on Sully's so-called "circle of trust" depth chart: Neely, Slater, McNeilly, Menendez, Smith, Philpott, (Purnell, Satin, Jameson....as second tier). We need a reliable LHP out of the Pen and (in my view) Menendez has the best "stuff."

 

That list looks more promising than it did just two weeks ago - hopefully they keep trending in the right direction. FAMU game makes sense for PC as Sully has mentioned he wants him to start so that he can go through the full pre-game workout and not have to come in out of the pen. We shall see.

I would put Jameson on the reliable relief list.
He has shown some good stuff this year in some not so good situations.
I am happy for him to have the success he has had this year.
Kurland should be untouchable tonight on the mound. His awkward throwing style should keep the Noles dazed and confused.
I wonder if Cags will be catching because he is the biggest target and can reach the errant throws.

 

I would rather kick their azz not get happy for someone else beating them . Much happier about taking the LSU series

I have no insider info, but a couple weeks ago, Sully said the goal was get said pitcher back onto the mound for the second half of SEC play.

 

I’m going to say here—while we all want the best for him—
Cautious with expectations…..back to “game speed” after this long of a rehab can be a vulnerable time.
