That doesn't do Florida any good but Curry will not be doing any more games in the tournament this year. Again, don't want to blame it fully on the refs but my Lord this confirms what we thought about them and how poor the officiating was in that game.

    Thoughts?

Great news. Curry should never ref again! Man has no integrity and thinks he’s more important than the game. One of the worst I’ve ever seen!

Dude should get a 2-3 year break from tournament games. Send him tapes of good officiating.

I thought the entirety of the officiate sucked. How’d they pick one guy out the inept three?

Lol..I have no idea but just goes to show how BAD he was against the rest of the inept refs.
Same goes for Lamar Simpson from Samford-Kansas

I totally agreed. He needs to learn that what he did the other day was not acceptable. Just crazy

They issue UF a letter of apology and state that he'll never do another UF game again

The Samford missed call makes me think of all the epic plays that would have down in history but for a ref screwing it up! I know it's a tough job, but dang, couldn't they maybe allow replay reviews of challenged fouls for at least for the last 2 minutes of the game (to go along with the out-of-bounds reviews)?

For that matter, Clayton's epic game-tying shot was relegated to a historical footnote due to that push-off not being called - although that call was not quite as black and white as the Samford miss.

But the Condon block Alley Oop was obvious and no need to T up Golden because he voiced his frustration. Let the situation cool down a little and if Golden is still chirping then T him up but you got to let the emotions cool a bit unless Golden told him to F off or something crazy. It was Conson's 5th foul and a critical part of the game.

Doesn’t matter. He’s a scumbag who cost the Gators their season. And that’s not exaggeration at all.

I wonder how long it’ll be before we see Otani/Rose type scandals with college refs ?

I’d have figured a good portion of fan frustration would be directed toward the official who missed the final play push-off. But Curry is definitely fielding the brunt.

Was Curry the one sending love notes to CO's fat-up-top? Those two needed to get a room.

My thought is that our game was fixed. I may just quit watching all sports after that fiasco...

I've had the same thought a number of different times throught out this season, you dont want to believe it for the love of sports in general. Yet you watch the way the game is played and called, and I dont see how you cant come away from it, feeling that the officating for certain games was called one way for the Gators and a completely different way for the team they were playing.

With the on line betting and other gambling avenues there is just so much money to be made i guess the temptation is too much to resist for the criminally leaning persons.

All of that, is why coaches need to be allowed to challenge calls. I know it makes the game longer, but who cares if it gets the call correct? Samford missed a chance for their biggest win in school history, because of an officials mistake. So I don’t care if replays make the game 5 to 10 minutes longer. It’s worth it in the end.

I am not sure if it was true - as I only saw it on the internet via posted tweet- but it stated that if the 21 fouls he called in the game, it was 20 on UF and 1 on Colorado. Don’t know or true. Seems unlikely but it felt like it! lol

maybe cuz he gave the tech to Golden and they thought it wasn’t warranted?
