It's my understanding that Putin is having the navy strategically place these ships before they get sunk, so they can be connected by large metal tubes and Russia will tunnel their way to Crimea through their sunken ships. Russia just needs to build another 500 ships. Putin is always two steps ahead of Ukraine. :)

‘Sunken’ Russian ships miraculously afloat and undamaged. Ukraine ‘massive attack’ couldn’t even sink an adjacent dock …

Ah yes, the invincible and mighty Russian Navy!
Pootie has to know that in a conventional showdown his forces would be toast versus NATO. Saddam Hussein with nukes.

The official count of sunken Russian vessels is probably 3-5 over 2+ years. I’m guessing closer to 3.

By way of contrast, during the 44 day long Falklands War, the Royal Navy lost 6 warships, 3 of them their finest destroyers.

The Russian navy hasn't had a beating this severe since 1905. Of course, this might be their only significant engagement since 1905. I guess you can say that they are living up to their reputation.

In WWII Japanese kamikaze pilots, many of them hastily trained; some teenagers, sunk 34 US warships and damaged 336 others.

I know a guy from Odesa who served on the carrier Knutsev back in the 80's. It was a POS even back then. Last I heard it was gathering dust in a drydock.

I don’t know why Russia needs a carrier. It doesn’t sail the high seas projecting power like the US. Instead, it’s focused on near seas defense.

But Ukraine hit a dock, an empty building and an abandoned airfield …

Sounds like Russia is intently focused on near seas target provision for Ukrainian target practice. Trying to use up all of Ukraine's missiles and drones, that sort of thing. High-level strategy.

Thereby delaying the conclusion of the war by 15-20 minutes. Nice work!

(Note: at no time during the war was America's fleet in the Pacific scared back into remote ports. Russia's fleet is terrified of further destruction by Ukraine, and has been scared back into its port in the eastern part of the Black Sea. And most of the U.S. ships sunk in WWII were of the smaller variety, not battleships or fleet carriers. How is Russia's Black Sea flagship doing? Still pushing up bubbles?)

Looks like one of our two "Russophiles" might have had a stroke in mid-sentence. We're going to miss his ability to almost detect the truth, and his ability to recognize when he is outwitted and bow out gracefully. Rest in peace, comrade. You will be missed (by your friends in the Kremlin).

Some people live in alternate universes. You’re living in an alternate war.

Russia’s fleet is so terrified it still has a goodly portion of its navy sitting in a lake well within misd
Russia has probably lost 3 ships tops. And here’s one of those small US Navy ships being taken out by a kamikaze …

If Canada is any indication, Ukraine will receive billions as long as we keep vaccines going …
