Its heartbreaking to see any player get hurt badly. Gator big me centers tend to get banged up frequently, but thats just coincidence. Stuff happens but you're not alone. Get well soon.
From: @akaGatorhoops --- Nice interview with Andy Katz...... Caught up with a brave @GatorsMBK Micah Handlogten, who is here in Indy for @MarchMadnessMBB days after breaking his leg during the @SEC title game in Nashville:
just curious… why are all-things Micah moved under this thread? This was an “appreciation” thread, and as such… people may not know to look here for injury updates, interviews, etc. Is GC running out of bandwidth or something? Why such aggressive thread consolidation? EDIT: a poster already messaged me, wondering where this post was moved. I don’t think people are viewing this thread for all Micah reports.
Thanks for the suggestion - I just updated the thread title to include all updates and news. Now we can all go to one single thread to get caught up on the latest instead of spending extra time hunting things down. The thread is also pinned at the top so shouldn't be hard for anyone to find. To answer your question....how would you feel if every single time a new news item came out....someone started a new thread on it? You might think that's being hyperbolic but that's the reality I'm seeing. No one is trying to be a dictator here. It's more a matter of keeping things tidy and more easy to read for members and visitors. Hope this helps answer your question......thanks!
I totally understand the not feeling any pain after a bad bone break. I had one once where the break sounded like a gun shot and didn't feel any pain at the time. Hurt like hell later. It was in college when I was a student at IIT. After hours we had to go to Mercy Hospital run by nuns. I made a big mistake saying that my religion was atheist. That probably put me to the end of the line.
yes- I think that’s being a tad hyperbolic. I mean, we can reduce the forum to one thread: Basketball. lol! I’m kidding. I think the change in thread title will help. thanks!
Bazza, thanks for posting the Handlogten interview. Glad Micah is holding on the that positive attitude. Also glad that he wanted to be with the team, supporting them during the tourney. Hopefully the team, see Micah bouncing back, will have an extra spring in their step!
Even stranger is those who bag on our head coaches without any consideration to KEY player injuries.......talk about narrow minds.......
