I hate the portal and the current landscape, but I loved watching both these guys play. I will root for Tyrese and Zyon in hoops and life. go gators!
Did you leave out Walter on accident? Or have a problem with him. If not, please edit post to include him. He’s a warrior and one of my favorite Gators of all time which is crazy because he only played one season.
Oh. Haha. Brain fart. I thought I remembered him walking on senior day. Must be the bourbon and beer. I’m going extra heavy tonight. Well that makes me feel more optimistic about next season.
Thanks to Tyrese and Zyon. Great warrior-type players you are. Same for Clayton if doesn't return. (please return)
Two great kids that represented well. Both have futures in the game. And , man its good to have hope again!
Two really damn good college players I’ll miss seeing in the orange and blue. I wish them the best going forward and hope they enjoy professional careers.
Thanks for this thread. Ive been unwilling to accept the reality of this season being over and all the emotions of last night but the need to give these two praise and thanks has grounded me. I can't imagine their emotions today.... Now that I'm done making this about me: Thanks Zyon and Tyrese. You will be two of the most impactful and memorable 1-yeat Gators of all time for me.
both were fantastic this year, better than we could have hoped for now let's 1. retain the talent we have 2. go find Tyrese and ZP's replacements in the portal come back next year playing hard-nosed defense with a chip on our shoulder...be that team opposing players don't want to play
I watched some film of Tyrese once he committed to the Gators. Thought he looked okay, nothing to write home about, but could hold his own in the SEC. I way underestimated him. Except for free throws, he excelled in every aspect of the game, even including just being a great teammate.
Zyon was awesome IMO. His ability to value the basketball and NOT turn it over was incredible. Mostly, I enjoyed watching his mid range game, which is a lost art and one of the best I have seen in a very long time. TS was dominant at times and better than I had anticipated. You have to give TG credit for snagging those two. Let's hope he can repeat and this team could be extremely dangerous next year.
