Take your damn blinders off and look at the facts. He LIED about the size of the place. That isn't an "opinion". And he didn't add 10% or some easily understandable difference either, he said it was 3 times larger than it is.

And it isn't about just one time. They demonstrated that lying and cheating is the standard practice with Trump Co.

He lied about the size of what place? Did he try to get the appraiser to use said size?

If someone overstates the size of their property to me, I say hey we will find out when the appraiser goes out.
Once the appraiser confirms, I call the person and tell them hey, by the way, it was not as big as you said.
Fraud is if that person tries to convince the appraiser to use the incorrect size.

I don't have blinders. I would prefer a different candidate than both Trump and Biden.

I also don't have TDS to the point I think everything Trump does is bad.

I am sorry if I misinterpreted the meaning of “no better than the shills”. It would appear given your focus of your post that you have quite misinterpreted my words as well. I will give it another try. Basically, I don’t think any single message board poster, including me or you, should be treated as the ultimate arbiter of what is legal political behavior. We have a legal system for that purpose.

I never said its not fraud if Trump repays back the loan. In fact, I said the opposite here more than once.
It's normal now for people to say completely false statements about others these days though so I am not shocked.

So did you just completely ignore my part that you even quoted where I said it IS fraud if you submit false documents? lol geesh...

Again I have not looked into that part of this case as I really only looked into the property value part of it.

But yes submitting false documents deserves punishment.

Perhaps, it would be better to spend your time gathering information on the case prior to commenting and commenting a bit less on it until you have, rather than arguing about an issue that you are continually saying that you don't actually understand because you don't know the underlying facts? Especially given that you are trying to use your professional background to claim expertise, while at the same time admitting that you don't actually know the facts of this case.

Look who you’re talking to. You got to pick your battles. There are a select few that rationally engage. That is not one of them.

So you don't think it is fraud if somebody says that they have a 30,000 sq. foot property on a loan application and it turns out the property is about 11,000 sq. feet unless they also get the appraiser to lie?

Here are the facts of the case:

Trump signed documentation a long time ago stating that his property was 10,996 sq. feet in size (which appears to be correct). On financial statements provided to banks in order to obtain loans, he listed the property at 30,000 sq. feet.

Trial Document: Trump Acknowledged Penthouse Size at 11,000 Square Feet, not 30,000 He Later Claimed

    Is this fraud?

So you don't really know enough about this issue where you're repeatedly commenting and excuse-making for a criminal ?

    Also;

Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg testifies he kept two sets of books

Trump Organization CFO testifies he kept two sets of books

Also, also ; I think everyone should stop assuming OJ Simpson is guilty of a crime just because he happens to own a knife. Owning a knife happens all the time. I'll admit, I haven't really looked into that part about evidence of him cutting people's heads off with it though.

I gathered plenty on the topic of property value which is what I have focused my discussions on.
I am at least acknowledging that whatever claims there are in regard to providing false documents, I have not looked into. That’s something most here won’t do.

And you can always tell the characters here that just read the headline and comment on something they don’t understand. Cracks me up.

Yeah, your experience with checking out double wides isn't quite the same as evaluating the Trump company. So lay off with the "if I had ... I would have ...." crap. Seriously.

It isn't working on anyone but the ones who already think Trump is a victim. The rest of us see him as the criminal he is.

The property values were fraudulently reported in the financial statements to obtain financing. They are not independent. Somehow you have watered this down as an analog to a person saying their property is worth more than it is. You have continually ignored that those values were materially misrepresented despite contradicting appraisals. You have continually ignored that appraisals were hidden when submitting audited and certified financials. You have continually ignored that cap rates were made up and then attributed to an appraiser who did not appraise the property. You have ignored that there is a higher standard on audited and certified financials than some random person guessing the value of their property. You have ignored that the terms of these loans were based on the fraudulently presented financials. There have been multiple pages with multiple people trying to to explain this to you. Instead you have relied on your narrow experiences to present yourself as an authority on a subject you have admittedly not researched and is clearly above your competency.

That's what this crew keeps doing because it's the only way they can argue on Trump's behalf.

He not only misrepresented the value of his properties upward to get loans but he did the opposite when it came to paying taxes on them. His company kept I think actually 3 sets of books on the properties--the loan books, the actual values and the tax books.

It's also been pointed out many times that there are many "victimless" crimes out there by the Deplorables' definition that you can expect to be punished for if you are caught.

You really should at least read pages 17-20. Eric Trump had several appraisals that accurately reflected the value of the seven springs estate.. emailed people not submit them.. Then submitted false valuations. They had rights to build 71 units on a plot of land and years earlier it had been reduced to 41 units and continued to submit that they had the value of a 71 unit development, knowingly. All the financial institutions had Trump org sign a statement that all disclosures were accurate to the best of their knowledge and the Judge has pages and pages and pages of examples where the Trump org literally just made stuff up. It's not a financial organizations role to assume the customer is lying about everything and find all the lies. That is why they sign the agreement based on accurate data. So if it turns out not to be accurate there is recourse.

Cannon's clerks dropping out and her office is going to have a hard time finding good ones based on peer review forums.

likely to lead to more delays or bad rulings which will lead to more delays

Departure of Law Clerks Causes Dispute and Possible Setbacks in Case Involving Trump’s Papers (msn.com)

Former clerks had originally spoken highly of working with Judge Cannon, calling it an “invaluable learning experience” and a “wonderful” opportunity. Their sentiments changed, however, when a ruling by Cannon in Trump’s case against the FBI over the Mar-a-Lago raid was reversed by the Eleventh Circuit, casting a shadow on the judge’s record. According to David Lat, a new clerk saw this as a potential “drag on their résumé,” while others were discontent with the declining “credential value” of their clerkships.

The trouble didn’t end there. In June 2023, Cannon was randomly selected for the classified documents case, ramping up the pressure on an already burdened staff to obtain security clearances. The delay of one clerk’s clearance compounded the workload for the others, leading to a backlog of duties in her chambers. This increased workload and the pressure of the high-stakes cases seem to have exacerbated the environment, resulting in a departure that Lat’s sources described as a fallout from a more “mean” managerial style adopted by the judge. A post on the Top Law Schools forum further painted a bleak picture of the office’s culture, alleging that clerks were subjected to long hours, often exceeding 100 per week, and last-minute demands for weekend and holiday work.

The loss of these clerks may have had significant repercussions on the Trump documents case’s progress, or lack thereof. As Lat notes, such turnover could be “highly disruptive and delay-inducing,” particularly with the timing of the resignations and the subsequent hiring of new clerks. While Cannon’s chambers are reported to be fully staffed again, the learning curve and transitional period for the new clerks may still be contributing to the “logjam of unresolved issues” on her docket.
