I feel like we say this too often, but it’s a fact—we’ve got to flush this one and come out ready to play tomorrow.
I think this is pretty easily the least talented roster since that 2 year blip between Omaha runs awhile back. We don't have 9 SEC caliber bats, before you even get to the pitching.
Don’t say it ! It’s been a miserable day and I’m tired of other teams have better players and more want to . I’m really really peed offed about things . It’s like we are everyone’s ragdoll to throw around . I gotta get out of this bs
Sully hasn't brought in quality bats in last two years. It is now showing. Next year will be worse unless we bring in transfers and better hitters. Add in the fact that we don't pay the NIL money like LSU and Wake means we get lucky with one guy but end up with players like Guy and Doray.
Ok, here's what we do. Tell our pitchers the game starts in the second inning. Therefore no bad first inning. Tell batters to hit SINGLES! Maybe they wont swing like they are trying to hit home runs. Take Foxy out of lead off and have him bunt every time. Have no solution for Luke's hitting. Seriously, it looks like Foxy, Luke, Beltin Shelton, Tybo and Dale "Cowboy" Thomas are tying to hit home runs every time up. Maybe better times tomorrow. By the way...we can concentrate on baseball only now. Men's basketball was better this year but it's over. So all your positive molecules can be directed to baseball.
Why didn’t the runner on third score after the ball bounced off the pitcher? The pitcher was going to first all the way. It may have kept Shelnut out of the rundown.
Dudes. We don't have them. I said that 3 weeks ago and I'm not an MLB scout. Things probably won't get much better either with NIL and the current transfer rules. Losing more and more interest in college athletics every season.
Not sure which is worse, being 2-2 against two top 10 teams with only 26 SEC games left (including strong and not so strong opponents) or having to dry off from all of these tears- certainly, the tears are more boring. Sully's big mistake is the same as Spurrier's: winning too often and leading people to expect perfection or close to it. Baseball teams lose a bunch of games and some seasons are better than others. I wish the NIL tears came with info on whether the writer has chipped in his/her share. Please feel free to pound me in June if things turn out as badly as expected.
Need to add Kurland in there unless he’s Foxy. Lead off man leading the team in strikeouts is a starting point for what we need to fix. Simply has to start making contact.
