Yep, I said it two weeks ago, and I didn’t want to, but he Is not a true number one right now… I know many would say well then who do we pitch Friday night and I think that’s an easy one as several of us have spoken about before.
Kurland continues to strike out. at this point in time. I think I would move him in the order again three strikeouts or two strikeouts the game and a home run isn’t helping us a whole lot. And it’s not like he’s hitting a homer every game
it’s solid, but it’s not major league level yet… Approach is the problem as we do not work towards or for contact enough, especially with our leadoff guy as he strikes out way too much
at some point, we will get ours and at least get this game closer, but the question will be can we absolutely shut them down. Cags swinging at bad pitches.
Best way to hit a nasty curveball/slider is hit the fastball, and Luke didn’t do that as he had several in his wheelhouse
Always have, and probably always will… Again, as I would say over and over the old Pete Rose model contact and three or four singles, much better than one homer and three strikeouts.
13 batters and nobody has put the ball in play. About the only thing going right here is that Holman has to throw at least 3 pitches to every hitter.
