Not to worry, Trump is taking donations from foreign governments, according to Michael Cohen. Problem solved. All it cost us was our national security. I hope that wasn't important to us.

To be fair, at least in the quoted piece, he is offering up a “what if”. Though Trump doing it would surprise no one and his supporters would rationalize the indefensible, just like they have everything else.

will the appeals court finally remove her for this ruling? either show the jury all of the classified info or don't charge him? is this right?

Mar-a-Lago Judge’s Stark Ruling: Jury Sees Secret Files or Trump Wins (msn.com)

The MAGA-friendly federal judge who keeps siding with Donald Trump in his Mar-a-Lago classified records case has forced prosecutors to make a stark choice: allow jurors to see a huge trove of national secrets or let him go.

U.S. District Judge Aileen M. Cannon’s ultimatum Monday night came as a surprise twist in what could have been a simple order; one merely asking federal prosecutors and Trump’s lawyers for proposed jury instructions at the upcoming trial.

But as she has done repeatedly, Cannon used this otherwise innocuous legal step as yet another way to swing the case wildly in favor of the man who appointed her while he was president.

Department of Justice Special Counsel Jack Smith must now choose whether to allow jurors at the upcoming criminal trial to peruse through the many classified records found at the former president’s South Florida mansion or give jurors instructions that would effectively order them to acquit him.

Either way, this will serve to delay this even more. If he wins in Nov. He skates. That simple.

This seems crazy to this legal layman. In giving an interpretation of the Presidential Records Act she seems to be pointing to a Directed Verdict. One of us confused.

The apologists should ask themselves if they would be ok with someone doing that to their daughters, wives, or mothers. Not that it matters to the cult. TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP!!!!!

So absent Trump getting bailed out by an actual US Billionaire, Russian oligarch or Bone Saws it’s looking inevitable that he’s going to lose some or most of his properties (love it!).

However there’s one other step he might take that he’s very familiar with…..

    Bankruptcy!

Selloffs, seized assets and bankruptcy: Trump options narrow as bond deadline approaches

“One way Trump could stop the clock — at least temporarily — would be to file for bankruptcy protection. It's a move Trump allies Alex Jones and Rudy Giuliani used when they were hit with large judgments, but it could be a bad look for Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, whose political image was built on the perception of his being a savvy businessman. There's also the possibility that declaring bankruptcy could trigger defaults with some of his existing bank loans.

I’ve read that Trump Tower in Chicago is one such property though I can’t find the article now. He’s a HUGE national security risk….

I doubt he files bankruptcy before the election, might make him look bad ( one of his most important concerns in a global sense). Besides, he can play the victim card if NY starts taking his assets.

We live in crazy times when someone has to pay almost 500 million for paying back on loans to banks that did their own due diligence and agreed to terms.

When someone calls me to do a refinance and they tell me they think their home is worth $xxxxxx but it appraiser under that but we still write the loan and sign papers since it’s still satisfactory, should we start charging them for fraud before or after they pay off the mortgage without incident?

Lmao truly feel like I’m living in a clown world.
