Can never have too many Bigs

I give him credit but still feel we got lucky.

 

Not sure if can measure portal recruiting luck. Recruiting all conference guards, freshman of year in one conference, seasoned big from Seton Hall, an U18 talent from Australia, …. That seems like talent assessment and taking proven starters in the portal.

 

The success of thread individuals and Castleton the prior year should help open doors to other seasoned transfers in the future

 

There are a couple of bigs that have entered the portal that sound like they'd be good gets.

 

That they both developed as quickly as they did…yeah….got a little lucky there. I remember the talk being IF one of them MIGHT give us quality minutes.

 

Golden knows that his fast style of play sells, so having bigs that can run the court is critical

 

We clearly got lucky on Clayton and Pullin. Probably every team in the country wanted Clayton. We got him because his girlfriend was pregnant, and he wanted to come back to Florida. As for Pullin, we got him after we had whiffed on a couple of other guards and after he pulled out of the draft. TG definitely deserves credit for getting Haugh and Condon. No one thought highly of Haugh other than TG and me. As for Condon, it was hard to even find film of him for the purpose of evaluating him.
