I paid because I was bored and in the mood for it. If you didn't like his others movies, I doubt this will be different. It's exactly what you're expecting lol!

Just watched it this weekend. I agree with both of these. The story was very simple, but it’s still nice to see a human story where the wins feel earned.

I watched High Plains Drifter the other day…hadn’t seen it in a long time.
It was different than I remembered and it has a unique mystery to it, especially for an older film.
Been thinking about it ever since…

Not "new" but a few folks missed the new Predator movie that released on Hulu a year ago called PREY, it's fantastic and unfortunately never went to theaters because of red tape during the Disney/Fox merger, DEFINITELY worth a watch if you dig that kind of film, it's a throwback

I watched Out of Darkness recently, I liked it. If you are into a prehistoric horror/survival film its a pretty fun and creepy movie. Zone of Interest probably isnt for everyone, but I liked it quite a lot, but its probably more of an film experiment than a plot driven movie.

I watched this a long time ago simply because the Beastie Boys referenced it in a song

I recently saw blazing saddles for the first time in maybe 40 years. I love Mel brooks movies but this one didn’t age as well as others have.

Probably because its satirizing old Westerns (pre-Clint revisionism), something Hollywood hasnt made in like 60+ years and dont show up on TV anymore. I'm not sure anyone under 40 would even get what they are doing or what they are satirizing unless they are a film studies major or something.

Yep, I would recommend it. I was surprised I'd never heard of it, particularly given the positive reviews.

I saw it when it came out, I remember almost nothing about it other than Tom Hardy doing his usual weird voice thing

It’s worth another look and worthy of discussion.
I don’t think there’s another Clint Eastwood movie like this one.

Cool. I like classic westerns, but I haven’t actually seen this one. I’ll add it to my list.

I’ve screened few foreign classic films recently. This includes Playtime by Jacques Tati, which was one of the damnedest film experiences of my life. The movie is a comedy, almost like a silent slapstick film, but with the most elaborate set pieces and complex choreography I’ve ever seen. Roger Ebert went so far as to recommend one watch the movie in preparation for watching it. I don’t recommend this film to anyone, because I think it’s a rare modern viewer that would like this, but it’s definitely something to check out if one is curious about the possibilities of film as a medium.

Don't know if it was mentioned previously but my favorite movie from the past year was Poor Things. It's not for everyone but is a brilliant watch for more adventurous movie goers. It's basically a surrealist, feminized, sexualized Forest Gump.
