    Florida Gulf Coast is 20-10 coming into the game hosting the Gators Wednesday at 5 pm. They have gone 1-1 against both USF & FSU, beaten Pittsburgh and UAB and split 4 games with Boston College. Among their losses to good teams, Washington beat them 6-2 and Louisville beat them 6-0 & 7-0. Their team BA is only .250, 4 HR, slugging .307, 72 BB, 146 K's and only a .326 on base percentage. They are fielding at .963. Team ERA is 1.78, WHIP 1.24, with 2 pitchers with ERA's of under 1.00. They've walked 72 and struck out 137 with a BA against of .220.
    This is a weak hitting team with really good pitching. Not a team to take lightly, but if the Gators come focused, they should take the win.

    This is an ideal game for Miller to take the mound and continue to craft her pitching. Really hope CTW uses her skills today. Nothing gained by avoiding what her level of contribution and competitiveness will be as we enter the SEC slate. On that note, McLellan should see a game as well in right. She seems to have a lot of potential and it’s only a matter of time before that talent shows itself, with a nice bat.

    I agree that McLellan has looked good in her few times playing, but Katie Kistler may be our hottest hitter so I don't see him taking her out of RF. I know one game last week he had McLellan at 2nd base, so maybe there. We shall see, though.

    My thoughts as well. You really want to take a senior with a 400 BA, 500 OBP, 29 RBI bat and solid defense out of the lineup to replace her with a freshman? I get that you want to get the young ones enough pt to make them stay here next year, but still. When someone is on a roll like Katie is right now, I don't know how much you want to screw around with that.
