Gordon haywood from the Celtics a few years ago as well. The trampoline thing isn't necessarily the frame. It's either an awkward timed rebound or just a bad angle on landing. I blew my ACL, MCL and meniscus on a work accident from stepping down awkwardly while weighted down with about 60 pounds of gear. I think the biggest factor in any of these type of breaks is coming down in a relaxed state. A person braces for landing in a normal jump. When someone gets bumped mid air, gets legs taken out etc and lands at a slightly different time and angle is when bad things happen. When muscles aren't engaged the bone bears the full force.
heading to Indy to be with his team Micah: "This is not a setback. This is an opportunity." - Florida Gators
After reading that it feels like we already won. It is going to be very emotional and inspiring. One of the best stories of the tournament to have him there.
Micah is a warrior and has been a very valuable Gator and starter in the 4 man big rotation. Rebounding involves a lot of want to. He moves well which means there is far more upside to his game. There's room for him to get stronger, develop a post move, extend his shooting range, improve ball handling and passing skills and on and on... For all those with knowledge on the subject, my mind is on how the injury will delay or limit his future career as I understand there may even be a few bucks to be made as a professional athlete. Seems like absent some key missing information and barring complications, we should expect Micah to be able to resume his playing career without limits. Is this correct? Thanks!
Based on Kugel's reaction to Micah's injury, if there is any chance that he could play Friday, I would think having his buddy there would be very inspiring.
What a great character guy! In a world of me me me, he is not that. He now becomes one of my favorite players on the team. So happy he is all Gator.
Micah has truly inspired me. I have felt lousy since it happened. I actually feel a lot better. Go Micah! Go Gators!!
