this tournament is run by the NCAA and replaces the wnit as the secondary tournament

Yep, this is the inaugural WBIT. I guess the NCAA realized there's money to be made and decided to circumvent/torpedo the WNIT. Anyway, this is a good opportunity for the Gators to improve their record and get a little program momentum for next season. Love it that we get the home site.

Not sure how much money is being made by anyone involved in this tournament. Being the first three rounds are being played directly against the Men’s NCAA Tournament, I guess ESPN needed to put something on their networks to fill air time.

Either way, hopefully UF can use this event to get their young players better for next season.

Talia Scott from Arkansas hit the portal, she is from Orange Park and a very good shooter, hopefully we make a play for her. She scored I believe 22 a game or so.
